Every Year a Group of people from your neighborhood gets together on Thanksgiving morning. They each bring a dish of warm food ( Potluck Style ). They throw in any old blankets, sweaters, or jackets they have in the closet. And they put together wonderful Care packages for people who live on the street. then they drive around and find people to hand them to. Last year this Group of People fed 20,000 men women and children living on the streets. We are meeting in San Diego and you have just been invited to join us. Respond for more info.

WE’VE updated our Gobble Gobble Give Website and now all Online and Venmo donations will go directly to Los Angeles Wildfire relief.

Any donation, small or large, will help individuals and families rebuild after being impacted so heavily.

Earlier this week, as the Pacific Palisades fell to an immeasurable and unimaginable monster, a group of amazing citizens amassed in the Topanga Canyon. These people were experienced Event Coordinators, CEO's, Fast Food Attendants, Burners, and just local folk that refused to believe what was happening, or that nothing could be done. Together they created triage stations in fire zones to receive and distribute much needed supplies to fire teams and citizens that had stayed behind.

They created several google docs to keep track of 'supplies needed' and 'supplies offered'. Literally thousands of people viewed, added to, and took from these documents. It was a logistical Rubik's Cube. I have never seen so much stuff get moved around. It was so impressive. It got very hectic at times but the system worked. People got stuff when they needed it most. A document was created that allowed displaced families to find free homes for immediate shelter. (One group stayed with me for a night). A group of us cut and cleared logs for fire crews, evacuated people, and rescued trapped and abandoned animals. Current count 4 cats, 2 dogs, 3 roosters, and 10 chickens. ( We almost got the 2 pigs but someone beat us to it. Darn it ). We got the call for a Python today... we passed. We installed water lines and pumps to access pools and ponds. And in the end, we prevailed. But there is much work to be done.

As the fires move into other areas the long process of rebuilding Greater Topanga begins. Utilities will most likely be out for weeks in some areas. We are offering generators, fuel cans, Propane tanks, portable stove tops, and fresh drinking water to people in the effected area. That is the GGG Mission for the month of January. If you can help us achieve that goal we, as always, are so very grateful.

For those of you who always support us financially I need to say it, "We don't take asking for money lightly". You do so much for the homeless community each holiday season and it's always so appreciated. It is really an honor to be your choice when supporting philanthropic causes.

I was behind the fire lines for the better part of this week. I saw a lot. Living through the Malibu fires, some of it was very emotional for me. This entire week I saw people at their very best. Simply amazing Humans. No political differences. Ne grievances. No gripes. Some have called these people heroes but I prefer to just call them human.

What a week it has been.

As I write this from my apartment in Venice Beach drinking warm tea and taking long showers, many people are still out there, in the cold, organizing, delivering, and tirelessly answering the call for help.

Gobble Gobble Give is dedicated to providing assistance and funds to these beautiful " humans" in their effort to provide safety, warmth, and food to those who need it most. they simply could never do it without you.
