Gonna be closing this page. I haven’t done Faire in years nor have I posted here on this page for years. And yet somehow this page repeatedly is getting reported for violations against community standards. 🤷 4 in the last 2 weeks.

We are the LGBT Guild for Renaissance Pleasure Faire, Southern California. We are the rainbow children of the Faire who finally have a place to call home.
We are a non-theatrical guild who want to be more visible in our Faire. We want a group to feel a sense of community and acknowledge each other easier than we have been able to in the past. Our future plans are to include pride parades, organized outings to theme parks, dinners, etc., and just an all around more visible group.

As many of you know, we lost one of our own tragically in the San Bernardino shooting. Daniel was a wonderful man and brought light to us all. Prayers for his family and Ryan, his boyfriend. There will be a candle light vigil at Southern Faire site this Saturday at 3. Let the toll booth know you're there for the memorial and you will get in free. Also, there will be a memorial later in the month. I'll get that info soon.
Emmy and Valerie are heading out to Nottingham festival. Hope to see you there!
SO: Gay Day is May 4th this year. Unfortunately, Cris will not be able to make it out but Emily and Valerie will be! We'll make sure and take lots of video to show Cris how the family can make it work!

Today is World AIDS Day. Since the AIDS epidemic began in 1981, 1.7 million Americans have been infected with HIV and more than 617,025 have died of AIDS-related causes. Join me in the fight against AIDS. I am a Medical Roadie for the AIDS Life Cycle, a 545 mile bike ride to end AIDS. Will you donate? Will you become a rider or roadie? Please help the cause to end this epidemic disease.
ALC 12: Ms. Cristin Peacock RN - AIDS/LifeCycle | 7-Day 545 Mile Cycling Event to Support HIV/AIDS S AIDS/LifeCycle is a seven-day, 545-mile cycling event to support HIV and AIDS services at the San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the L.A. Gay and Le***an Center.
The general consensus is around 2:30pm. If we gather at Court Glade about 2:30pm, and we make it quick, we can be out of there in no time.
Sound good?
Since this Saturday is Gay Day, it's been proposed that we do a group picture. What do you all think? Would you be willing to participate?
Hey folks, if you're still interested in doing an It Gets Better video, I need people to do interviews. You don't have to say much but I do need people. Stop by Court Glade and ask for Goodwyfe Thresher or Cris. See you this weekend!
Not only was it on the table but it is officially back on! Gay Day is reinstated for 6th weekend, May 12. Woo-hoo!!
Listen up! This is awesome news! "It looks like our community has spoken and the owners are listening. Gay day was back on the table for the staff meeting today."
Our hard work and respectful letters got the work done. Thank you everyone that made their voices heard!
It is official, Renaissance Faire has cancelled Gay Day. The viewpoint that was presented to me was that “every day at faire should be inviting to our gay and le***an customers” and that “gay days are passé”. If you disagree with their decision, I ask you petition management (http://www.renfair.com/socal/) explaining how important this day can be for the community. Please keep any correspondence to management polite, professional, logical, and to the point. If we wish to bring this day back in any form, we MUST keep things respectful. Thank you for any support you wish to give!
