I don’t know if this piece of legislation has crossed your sights yet. The California legislature is seeking to expand the crimes that the state can use to justify taking our 2nd Amendment rights away, to include DUIs. see Senate Bill 55 (SB 55).

30 years of propaganda has already successfully demonized the so-called “drunk” driver (FYI - 0.08% does NOT equal drunk), such that arrests for DUI now account for about 10% of all crime in America.

The California legislature is again seeking to piggyback the “menace” label affixed to DUI to justify a ten-year ban on possession or ownership of a firearm. Governor Brown vetoes the last effort, which flew by under the radar. Gov. brown said there was no nexus between DUIs and the harm sought to be prevented by taking away someone’s gun rights. But Jerry is out and Gov. Newsome has gone above and beyond in his efforts to enact more regulations and limitations on gun owners, in his effort to regulate them from existence. No doubt, if this bill gets to his desk, he will sign it.
We can’t let that happen. Please raise awareness and push back on this sneaky backdoor effort to further encroach on the 2nd Amendment, that irrationally targets consumers of adult beverages.
