April 8th is WELLNESS WEDNESDAY! We’re hosting a journaling workshop in the Graduate Student Lounge from 5-7pm, drinks and snacks provided, along with journaling supplies. Come unwind with some thoughtful prompts led by our EDI Team!

The annual Wagner New Play Festival, May 2-17!

GPSA, in collaboration with the Theatre and Dance Department, is excited to announce a limited amount of FREE tickets for graduate & professional students and their dependents.

Each year, the UCSD Theater and Dance department produces a nationally recognized festival called the Wagner New Play Festival. Some of these new plays make it to off-Broadway New York, get adapted into films in Hollywood, and generally go on to have long lives. This year, there are five new plays and they are all written, produced, directed, acted in and designed by UCSD Grad students.

In celebration of Earth Month, our GPSA Climate Action Chair and current SIO graduate student, Sharan, held a Climate Optimism and Eco-Literacy workshop. Joined by two wonderful speakers from the organizations Intersectional Environmentalist and Color the Water, we gained insights into the history of environmental activism in the United States, the indigeneity and cultural roots of environmental acts such as surfing and harvesting kelp, and how to remain hopeful in the face of climate doom. Our fireside chats were followed by a community eco-book exchange and free zines, stickers, and art for all attendees.
