We want your input on our five-year plan to build and improve County facilities. This plan helps us fix older buildings and get ready for future needs so residents can keep getting essential services.

The County is dedicated to providing facilities that serve the needs of the community and strengthen the quality of life for all. Parks, live well centers, and fire stations are examples of facilities that support our communities and staff.

Capital projects can include new construction or renovation of existing County buildings, recreation centers, sheriff stations or the purchase of land to build parks.

County health officials are working with the Sweetwater Union High School District (SUHSD) to notify students and staff about a tuberculosis (TB) exposure at Southwest High School between June 23, 2025 and March 6, 2026. Former students will be able to receive free TB testing at Southwest High School on December 4, 2026 from 1:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the South Lot student parking area. Link in comments below.
