This quote from Trump left my head spinning.
“I always like to just hang around with losers, actually,” he continued, “Because it makes me feel better. I hate guys that are very, very successful and you have to listen to their success stories. I like people that like to listen to my success.”
He likes losers because they make him look better. Is that the kind of man that should be leading our country?
Look at Trump's cabinet. They are the people he is talking about here. They go around the table telling him how great he is. He demands that of them. Gotta wonder what Americans think of such a man. Let us know your thoughts, especially if you think his surrounding himself with losers is what you want.
Holden's Political POV
I've got my opinions, but there's always room for yours as well. I will try to tell the truth, and will listen to those who disagree
Here's what Trump had to say about the death of Robert Mueller. “Robert Mueller just died. Good, I’m glad he’s dead. He can no longer hurt innocent people,” Trump wrote on his social media platform Truth Social.
Really, this is the way the American president acts? What political figure celebrates the death of a man who spent his whole life working for the betterment of America.
While Trump was whining about bone spurs, Mueller volunteered for service. In fact, he had an injury that had to heal before he could go but went as soon as possible. Chicken s**t Trump hid in a closet while his father pulled strings to keep him out of the service. Consider, the doctor who gave him the bone spurs deferment had his office in Trump's father's building. What a coincidence, if you believe in such things.
So now Trump has made it OK to rejoice when a patriot dies. I'll be blowing horns and dancing in the street when that as***le dies. Tomorrow is not too soon.
O yes, how many innocent lives has Trump destroyed?
"The federal government spent more than $100 million on a 54-acre warehouse in Maryland's Washington County to convert it into a detention center capable of holding 1,500 people at a time, Brown said in February when the state sued."
This is going on all over the country. The Trump administration wants to build hundreds of these detention centers in every state. Those that are already up and running have been shown to have inadequate food and water, a lack of medical care and little, if any, clothing, showers and amenities like toothpaste. It has been shown that people get less care than dogs at the pound.
Few of the people there are criminals; many are American citizens. We have been told that only the hardened criminals have been rounded up, but that is clearly not the case. Young parents and children have been ripped off the streets and stored like sides of beef.
Nearly everywhere the government has tried to build one of these, the people in the area have stood firm in preventing it. Even places that support this policy have not wanted one in their area. There have been mass protests against the warehousing of people. Perhaps it is a matter of, "Not in my backyard". At first the government took the hint and canceled the projects, but that is no longer the case. The government has said that they will build these facilities no matter what the local people want. What will you say when they propose one near you??
Figure that these facilities will house 800 to 2,000 people each. There will be hundreds all over the country. How many people will that be? The US already has more people in prison than any other country so what will that do to our numbers? Do you want another million people held in unlivable conditions? And here is another question..... What will they do with these buildings when we have deported all of our immigrants? will these places become ghost towns? That's not likely. American citizens will be held there for crimes that may not even exist today. This will be a giant money maker for a few billionaires, and they will use American citizens to make it function.
All you have to do is remember what we did to the Japanese during the second World War to realize how bad this can become. As we become a more authoritarian state, we will act more like an authoritarian state.
Trump has been ranting about this for years now.
"“I think we have the greatest economy actually ever in history,” Trump said in an interview with Fox Business’s Larry Kudlow that aired on Tuesday. “I guess I have to sell that because we should win in a landslide.”"
But let's look at this. Clinton is the only president in any of our lifetimes to actually balance the budget, something the Republicans have been advocating for decades. When he left office there were so many high paying jobs available that you could quit your job and get a higher paying job the same day (Maybe not, but it sure seemed that way). America was thriving, we were not fighting any wars and the budget actually had a surplus.
As is usually the case, a Republican was voted in next. He gave tax cuts to the rich and lowered the tax rates for businesses. By the time he left office America was in a financial crisis, and it took a Democrat to put things back in order.;
At the end of Trump's first term, we had a Pandemic that trashed our economy, and the things he did only made it worse. Biden came in and put things back in order. He passed bills that made America thrive. People beat him up over the economy, but his first two years were spent repairing the mess Trump made and recovering from the pandemic, which he did. Yes, Biden struggled but the USA had the best economy in the world. Go look it up!
Now we are in the Trump economy and instead of being the best in our history, we are on our own. Our friends are long gone and have no desire to partner with us. Even our best trade partner, Canada, wants little to do with us after all of Trump's insults. Trump is trying to do away with the North American trade deal that he made during his first term, calling it the worst deal in US history and blaming any and everyone else.
So, do you believe we are in our greatest economy in history???
"Trump ordered the Defense Department to contract with more coal-burning power plants and was named “Undisputed Champion” of coal by a lobby group."
During his first administration, Trump was a champion of the coal industry, but he did not get much traction. Thing is, there are many sources of energy that are cheaper and cleaner than coal. So few people bought into it. He's trying again and, so far, had about the same results.
But there is a new coal out there, or better, a new way of processing coal that is cleaner and can produce a wide number of products. Still, coal destroys the environment and is anything but cheap.
THis is some great news!
"A GOP bill to tighten voter identification requirements could backfire electorally, as Republican supporters are less likely to have passports and more likely to change their last names when marrying, according to the director of democracy policy at the Center for American Progress."
Republicans have been out to disenfranchise voters for years as they have said that they don't want everyone to vote. This is a great case for not wanting the very thing you are asking for. They are going to pass some kind of bill, but if they do, let's hope it keeps republicans from the polls.
Here is an exchange between a couple of House members and Pam Bondi today...
RASKIN: You can let her filibuster all day long, but not on our watch. Not on our time. And I told you about that, Attorney General, before you started.
BONDI: YOU DON’T TELL ME ANYTHING YOU WASHED UP, LOSER — not even a lawyer.
NADLER: All right. My time. The answer to my question, how many of Epstein's co-conspirators has she indicted, is zero.
Trump and his cronies are continuing to do everything possible to get rid of the Epstein Files investigation. I have trouble understanding how he and his cronies are getting away with it. Does our criminal justice system have any power at all? We have a felon for our president, and his cronies are committing crimes against our government to roll over the American people.
The justice department will not indict anyone over the Epstein files because if they went down that road, half the Trump administration would be arrested, with Trump leading the way.
Hey, we have a felon running the country so why should anyone be surprised??
I didn't think I would comment on this because it is so obvious, but I've been reading about it and find it hard to believe.
Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado, who won the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize for her work promoting democracy and opposing Nicolás Maduro’s authoritarian regime, traveled to Washington, D.C. and met with U.S. President Donald Trump at the White House on January 15, 2026.
During that meeting, Machado physically presented her Nobel Peace Prize medal to Trump as a symbolic gesture of gratitude and recognition for what she described as his support for Venezuelan freedom.
Trump accepted the medal, praised her publicly on social media, and displayed it in a frame—calling her gesture “wonderful.”
The Norwegian Nobel Committee and the Nobel Foundation made it clear that while someone can physically hand over a medal, a Nobel Peace Prize cannot be officially transferred, shared, or re-awarded to someone else. The title of “Nobel Peace Prize laureate” remains solely with Machado.
Machado said the gift was a symbol of appreciation on behalf of the Venezuelan people for Trump’s actions related to Venezuelan politics and the ouster of Maduro.
Critics called the move “absurd” or embarrassing and argued it could demean the prestige of the Nobel Prize.
Opinion pieces and commentators also suggested the gesture was an attempt by Machado to gain Trump’s favor politically, especially after Trump declined to back her as Venezuela’s leader, instead supporting the interim president, Delcy Rodríguez.
The point is that this does not mean Trump is a Noble Prize winner. He can show it off all he wants, but it is a fraud. He has not received the prize, and it is not likely he ever will. His being a fraud with the prized ensures the committee will never give it to him. His prize is not worth a penny more than the price of the metal. It's not solid gold, is it?
This is hard to believe:
"The Justice Department has issued subpoenas for Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey as part of an investigation alleging that the two Democratic leaders are impeding federal law enforcement officers’ abilities to do their jobs in the state, two people familiar with the matter confirmed Friday."
So, the governor and the mayor are getting a federal investigation yet the person who they have on tape shooting a woman in her car is able to go home and sleep at night.
Do you think there is something wrong with this?
Does it get any more bizarre than this?

So in short: Yes, there are credible reports and video circulating that show Trump saying “f**k you” and giving the finger to a Ford plant worker during a visit today.
Think of this for a moment.
"The FBI is investigating Renee Nicole Good, the Minneapolis woman killed in her car by an ICE agent, for ties to activist groups."
Have any of you heard of even a small investigation into the fellow who killed her?
It seems like the woman who was shot in the face is being made out as a bad guy while the person who shot her is being made a hero.
This could only happen with Trump as our leader.
