THANK YOU to everyone who came out and moved with us at the Municipal Rose Garden last Friday. It was wonderful connecting, sharing the moment, and building community together.
Special thanks to Terrence Riley for joining us and sharing more about the important work the Friends of the San Jose Rose Garden do to care for these beautiful blooms.
If you left feeling inspired to get involved, join the Friends of the Rose Garden for their Spring Volunteer Day this Saturday, May 2 at 8:30 AM.

Last Saturday, March 28, 2026, we came together for a community clean-up at the historic Roberto Adobe & Sunol House on Lincoln Avenue.
We’re grateful to have partnered with the Roberto Adobe & Sunol House California Pioneers of Santa Clara County, Caltrans Bay Area-District 4, the Beautify San José team at San José Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Services, and Mayor Matt Mahan’s team to make this event possible. Special thanks to CEFCU for generously allowing us to gather in their parking lot.
Thanks to everyone who showed up and put in the work—clearing trash along the highway underpass and Lincoln Avenue, pulling weeds, and covering graffiti. Your efforts made a real impact. This is what community looks like, neighbors showing up for one another to create a cleaner, safer, and stronger District 6.

Do you love Arena Green as much as we do, but wish there were better places to go when you need to… go?
Today, we marked the opening of a pilot smart public restroom at Guadalupe River Park, an important step in improving our public spaces for San José for residents, workers, and visitors alike.
Thanks to Marianne and Carl Salas, Avi Yotam of , representatives of , and Jessica Heinzelman of for helping us mark the occasion with a very fitting ribbon cutting 🧻
We encourage you all to give it a GO!

Yesterday evening, March 24, 2026, a construction crane tipped over onto a power line during a project near 1246 Blewett Avenue. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported, and there is no ongoing threat to public safety.
As a precaution, PG&E temporarily shut off power in the area. The outage is currently affecting Blewett Avenue and parts of Lincoln Avenue. PG&E expects to restore power to about half of the affected homes in the northwest area within the next hour.
They will then address the remaining homes, while temporary power packs are being provided to about 10 homes in the central area for essential needs. Two additional generators are on the way to support this effort.
Both the construction company and PG&E anticipate that the crane will be safely removed and power restored by 10:00 PM. Residents should remain cautious and check for updates, as conditions may evolve throughout the day.
We appreciate the community’s patience and urge residents to exercise caution near the affected area until service is fully restored.
Residents can check the outage status and sign-up for alerts at:
