People often ask, “How can I get involved?” There are so many ways to plant seeds when it comes to preventing human trafficking and helping those in need.
Last week we were blessed with something that may have seemed as small as a seed 🌱 but to us, the help felt as massive as the growth of a 100 year old oak tree.
The gift provided to us was time. With so many needs we are addressing, the one thing we truly need is more time to do the little things, which end up making the biggest impact.
Last week for Make A Difference Day, Perkins High Schoolers put together a tote of community outreach bags for us to distribute to those in need and they did this in record time!
We were so grateful and beyond impressed by not only how quickly they did this for us, but also their ask for more items and willingness to want to do more.
The amount of support we have received from them last year and this year in our efforts to prevent human trafficking means more than they will ever know not only to us, but also to those that we serve.
While this volunteer effort may have seemed small in comparison to others they did on this amazing day, the impact we know will be bigger beyond measure, as we can never truly underestimate the power of a planted seed.
Thank you genuinely Perkins High School and teacher Mrs. Kolbeck for genuinely caring and believing in not only the work we do, but the community that surrounds you. We wholeheartedly appreciate you ♥️🌱♥️
