Nobody warned me that “business meeting” and “workout” would become the same thing.

This is us on a Wednesday😄

Alwyn is my husband. My coach. My business partner. And the person most likely to give me unsolicited form corrections mid-set when I’m clearly not asking.

26 years of building Results Fitness together and I still can’t tell if he’s coaching me or just enjoying it a little too much.

Here’s what a Tuesday actually looks like:

I’m thinking about our marketing, our systems and meetings with our leadership team. He’s thinking about how to coach the perfect hip hinge and teach it to our coaches and clients.

I’m mentally writing emails. He’s figuring out the next progression for an exercise to try to “kill” me.

I’m ready to be done. He adds one more set.

(He’s always right. I will never tell him that.)

The chaos is real. AND it works. We’ve built something together that has changed thousands of lives — and somehow we still like each other at the end of the day.

If you’re building with a partner — spouse, co-owner, best friend — the secret isn’t never disagreeing. It’s knowing whose lane is whose.

His lane: everything that happens on the gym floor. 🏋️

My lane: everything that builds the business beyond it. 📈

26 years in. Still figuring it out. Still showing up together.

The gym taught me more about business than any business book I’ve ever read.

Here’s what I mean.

When I walked into my first gym I thought I was there to get in shape. What I didn’t realize was that I was learning how to be consistent when I wasn’t seeing results yet. How to push through when everything in me wanted to quit. How to trust a process I couldn’t see the end of.

That’s not fitness. That’s EVERYTHING.

Delayed gratification. Emotional control. Showing up even when it’s not working yet.

Those skills carried into 26 years of owning Results Fitness.

Into writing books. Into coaching hundreds of gym owners across the country. Into racing at World Championships at 50 years old. Into coming back from ACL reconstruction.

Most people are wildly underestimating the gym. It’s not just changing your body. It’s changing who you ARE.

When did the gym teach you something that had nothing to do with fitness? I want to hear it 👇

Fitness pros: You’ve made the switch from session packages to monthly billing (moving in the right direction!) BUT here’s the math nobody runs the numbers on:

You bill clients monthly. Some months have 4 weeks. Some have 5. Your coaches get paid per session. Guess who eats the difference when a client gets that 5th week?

You do.

Switch to bi-weekly billing — or a flat 28-day cycle — and the math finally lines up. Clients pay for the sessions they actually get. Coaches get paid for the sessions they actually deliver. Cash flow stops leaking.

Stop billing on the calendar’s schedule. Bill on your business’s schedule.

Pull up your billing setup right now. How many sessions are you giving away every year? Tell me in the comments.

P.S. We made this mistake for years…here to keep you from making the same mistakes we already made when you’re a passionate fitness pro focused on changing lives.

Strong people don’t negotiate with themselves.

They decided. Period.

They don’t wake up and ask themselves if they feel like training today. They trained yesterday, they’ll train tomorrow and the training is just… part of who they are.

It’s not motivation. It’s not willpower. It’s IDENTITY.

When working out becomes something you just DO — like brushing your teeth — everything changes.

The mental energy you were burning on the “should I or shouldn’t I” debate gets freed up for everything else.

That’s a business advantage. A parenting advantage. A leadership advantage.

Strong people also don’t negotiate with themselves on their finances. On their sleep. On who they spend their time with. On their standards.

Decide who you are. Then just be that person every day. One day at a time.

What’s one thing you’ve stopped negotiating with yourself about? 👇

“Cute jacked” is the new “toned.”

Something is shifting and I am HERE for it.

For years — and I mean YEARS — women walked into Results Fitness and told us their goal was to get “toned.”

Not too muscular. Not too bulky. Just… toned.

And as coaches we always met them where they were. If they said toned, we said toned. That’s what good coaching looks like.

But toned was code. It meant — I want to look better but I’m a little afraid of what that actually requires. I want muscle but I don’t want anyone to think I’m trying to look like a man.

Fast forward to a few years ago and something started changing. More and more women were walking in asking about gaining muscle. Building strength. Actually getting results you could see.

And then the GLP-1 wave hit and even more women started realizing — wait, I’m losing muscle and I need to do something about that.

And then one of our clients said it.

“I want to get cute jacked.”

Our coaches and clients had a whole conversation about it.

And someone pointed out — you’re already cute. That box is checked. So she looked at us and said “That’s right. My goal is just jacked.”

And it spread. That same hour of training — the same group of women who have been inspiring each other to get their first chin up, watching each other hit milestones nobody thought were possible — started claiming it.

Just jacked.

I’ve been waiting for this moment since I wrote The Female Body Breakthrough in 2009. Helping women embrace muscle and strength has been my mission for 26 years.

And “cute jacked” is actually perfect because it says everything — I want to look like a woman, I want to look strong, and I am done being afraid of what that means.

“Toned” was a whisper. “Jacked” is a declaration.

Women are done shrinking their goals. And I could not be more proud. 💪

Are you cute jacked, working on your jacked, or just now realizing that was your goal all along? 👇

P.S. These amazing women are cute and I’d say already looking pretty jacked 💪 Proud of you ladies!

This is your sign to come move your body with us.

Not just because of the training. Not just because of the programming. Because of what happens when you walk into a room full of people who are showing up for themselves every single day.

Energy is contagious. I’ve watched it happen for 26 years.

The person who drags themselves in on a Monday not feeling it — and leaves an hour later completely transformed. Not because we did anything magical. Because the people in that room did something to them that no coach can manufacture on their own.

That’s the energy exchange. And most people have never experienced it because they’ve been trying to do this alone.

Here’s what I know: you can fix your sleep, clean up your nutrition, dial in your training — and all of that matters, all of it — but if you go home to people who drain you, work in an environment that exhausts you and have nobody around you who is pushing to be better?

You will always feel tired.

Strong body. Right people. Right environment.

That’s how you build energy that actually lasts.

We have a community full of people who will add to yours.

Come find out what that feels like. 🙌

Being strong is the cheat code to life.

Not just in the gym. I mean ALL of it.

Strong physically. Strong mentally. Strong financially. Strong in your business. Strong in your relationships. Strong in your leadership.

I’ve been in this industry for 26 years and the one thing I keep seeing over and over — the people who build real strength in the gym?

They build it everywhere else too.

It’s not a coincidence.

The discipline that gets you out of bed to train when you don’t feel like it is the SAME discipline that builds a business, saves money, shows up for your family and makes hard decisions without flinching.

Strength doesn’t stay in the gym. It follows you home.

If you’re here for the first time — welcome. This is what we talk about. Not just reps and sets.

Building a stronger body, stronger mind and stronger life.
