Civic leaders and senior leaders from the Georgia Air National Guard joined us in Savannah for Senior Leader Day during to observe how Sentry South strengthens joint readiness, enhances aircrew proficiency, and supports National Defense Strategy priorities,

✨Highlights of the visit included a tour of key facilities at the Air Dominance Center, mission and exercise briefings during a hosted luncheon, and observing aircraft launches supporting 4th- and 5th-generation aircraft integration.

🚨 New Name. Refined Mission. Expanding Capabilities. 🚨

✈️ What is Sentry South? Formerly known as Sentry Savannah (and Southern Strike at Gulfport), Sentry South unifies these exercises under one name. Sentry South 26.1 (Savannah) builds on the Sentry Savannah foundation of 4th- and 5th-generation aircraft integration while laying the groundwork for future iterations to expand the training portfolio and enhance the joint training environment at combat readiness training centers.

🎯 Why it matters:
• Integrates 4th- and 5th-generation aircraft
• Focuses on Offensive Counterair and Defensive Counterair
• Trains against complex threats, including Integrated Air Defense Systems
• Emphasizes joint force integration
• Supports National Defense Strategy priorities and required joint training objectives

Our team of highly-skilled Security Forces patrol and protect multi-billion dollar total force assets, supported war-fighters by providing round-the-clock flight line security enabling successful mission ex*****on during the exercise.

“We’re providing security for nearly six billion dollars worth of assets out here, which represents the United States ability to continue with air dominance worldwide,” said U.S. Air Force Master Sgt. Mike Tiedge, Security Forces craftsman, 122nd Security Forces Squadron, Indiana Air National Guard. “The training that’s happening here, to be able to fine tune the pilots, the support staff and maintainers, everything through an exercise is paramount to national security.”

“It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s… ! ✈️🛫

Day 1 of Sentry Savannah 25-1 went off without a hitch on Monday and the skies over the Air Dominance Center came alive as fighter jets and from across the dove into high-intensity training. This premiere exercise, hosted at one of the nation’s four Combat Readiness Training Centers, provides the ultimate location with access to the Nation’s best military training airspace that allows pilots to sharpen their war-fighting tactics, enhancing the United States’ air superiority.

From F-16s, F-35s, and F-22s to cargo and tanker aircraft like the C-130s and KC-135s, we’ve welcomed an incredible lineup to kick off the week. Stay tuned for more action as we continue pushing limits and strengthening !
