Today we celebrated Ida’s birthday (with a surprise cake from her son)! We played some right/left games and had some right/left exercises, then enjoyed pulled pork sandwiches for lunch, enjoyed some old musical classics and finished our day with balloon volleyball!

We had ANOTHER fun, joy-filled day! Sharon started us off with some chair exercise and then Kay read us the most fantastic Texas-themed cowboy Cinderella story you ever heard! She even baked some yummy “cow patty” cookies to enjoy after the story. Then we worked on some Christmas wrapping paper for our Friends Place store before trying our hand at some ax throwing. Carole made some delicious sloppy Joe’s for lunch, and then we played some music bingo and ended our day with balloon volleyball!

Well, that was another fun day at The Friends Place! The Sequim Wheelers started us off with some bike rides to see the fall colors, Sharon led us in chair exercise and the Chicken Dance, Cheryl taught us how to draw and color a clowder (group of cats), Carole made some amazing fish tacos with mango salsa, and Jeff led a fun trivia competition.

Official “Talk Like Pirate Day” may have been last week, but we sure did have fun with it today! We gave ourselves Pirate names, played serval rounds of pirate trivia and Pirate-themed bingo, learned the Pirate lingo, watched a “fun facts about pirates” video and heard some sea shanties.
