Sherman Oaks Branch - Los Angeles Public Library

All ages are invited to join us this Saturday, February 28 at 3:30 p.m. for a special performance by The Kadima String Quartet! They will perform music by Philip Glass, Dimitri Shostakovich, Johannes Brahms, and Aaron Copland, along with music from The Wizard of Oz!

No reservations are required. We can't wait to see you at the library!

Music Bingo for Adults is happening again this Saturday, February 21 from 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m.! This month, we'll be bingo-ing to Nostalgic Tunes of Love and Heartbreak. It will be mostly music from the 50s - 80s, with a few from some other decades thrown in. You don't have to know the music to play, though, and all adults are welcome!

This event is generously sponsored by the Sherman Oaks Friends of the Library, and there will be small (but fun) prizes and light refreshments. Come join us!

Join us on Wednesday, February 18 at 6 p.m. for a last-minute addition to our schedule! We are hosting actors Behzad Dabu and Kausar Mohammed for a play reading of Guards at the Taj, written by Pulitzer Prize finalist Rajiv Joseph.

The play follows two low-ranking imperial guards stationed outside the Taj Mahal before its grand unveiling. An impossible task tests their lifelong friendship, shakes their faith, and shatters their lives forever.

There will be a Q&A after the reading.

Take a break from the stress of the season with Music Bingo for Adults: Music from the 50s - 80s & some holiday tunes this Saturday, December 20! The event will be from 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. and no bingo or music experience is required, but you WILL get to hear some songs. We'll have some light refreshments and prizes courtesy of the Sherman Oaks Friends of the Library. All adults are welcome!
