NO on Question 2! Share, share, share!
It will NOT reduce property taxes. It WILL cause confusion and litigation - and it WILL result in cuts to services, activities and buses in many districts. In Somersworth, we already have a cap and we're at 4% (which is well under the 6% they're pushing).
The folks in Concord need to stop pointing the fingers at our educators and administrators and make the state pay its share of public education. THAT'S THE ONLY WAY WE GET RELIEF.
They need to stop downshifting the costs and blame to local communities. Stop redirecting our state revenue in the form of tax cuts for the wealthy and corporations in NH. If Jason Osborne, State Representative and Governor Kelly Ayotte were real leaders, they'd address the real issue and make a plan. Instead, they're pulling the rug out from under our children, who are the future of our state.
Republicans and Free Staters have controlled our state for a decade. We can't afford to feed our kids or educate them, and when they graduate they can't afford to go to college here or live here.
These "leaders" aren't fixing the problems. They're villanizing our public schools and further degrading our future. Shame on them.
