FROM NEGLECTED PROPERTY TO COMMUNITY OPPORTUNITY!

RESTORE. REBUILD. RENEW.

Take a look at these photographs from Sparta, Georgia.

Behind the overgrown vegetation stands a property that could represent an opportunity for community revitalization.

What if this property could become:

🏠 A renovated home for a local family?

🌳 A beautiful community green space?

🤝 A neighborhood resource center?

The Hancock-Sparta Land Bank Authority is working to help return vacant, abandoned, blighted, underused, and other eligible properties to productive community use.

Before any redevelopment could occur, ownership, building condition, legal eligibility, costs, and community needs would have to be evaluated.

WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU!

💬 What would you like to see this property become?

Share your ideas in the comments.

Together, we can explore opportunities for stronger neighborhoods and a brighter future for Sparta and Hancock County.

For Our neighbors that have questions about your tax assessment: First, look at the Annual Notice of Assessment, not merely the tax bill. You generally have 45 days from the date the assessment notice was mailed to file your property-tax appeal with the County Board of Tax Assessors. Georgia provides Form PT-311A for this purpose.
