A Biscuit Bake-Off in 4th Grade!🥯

Today, I had the pleasure of visiting Mrs. Homan’s 4th-grade classroom, where students had just finished reading Justin and the Best Biscuits. In the story, biscuits are judged at a county fair, which gave Mrs. Homan a great idea!

With similar judging taking place right here in our own community at the Grange Fair, Mrs. Homan invited parents to bake biscuits so her students could experience being the judges themselves!

The students took their job seriously, tasting and judging the different biscuits to determine which one was the best. Some really enjoyed the judging process, while others found it difficult when they got down to the final few and had to choose a winner!

What a fun, hands-on way to bring a story to life while connecting classroom learning to a tradition right here in our community!

🎶 A Great Day for Our Penns Valley Singers! 🎶

Our Penns Valley Chamber Choir students joined the Mansfield University Choir for the Mountaineer Choral Festival! Students spent the morning learning four songs and performed them that afternoon. They were also thrilled to have the opportunity to perform alongside Penns Valley alumnus Isaac Braucht!

Congratulations to our talented singers on a wonderful day of music and an unforgettable experience! 🎵👏

Grandparents Day #2 is in the books!

What a great afternoon at PVEI as our 5th and 6th graders had the opportunity to enjoy lunch with their grandparents and show off some of the awesome work they’ve been doing in their classrooms! 📚🍎

A huge THANK YOU to all of the grandparents who came out today and made the afternoon so special. We loved having you here!

We’re not done yet… next up: our K–4 students at PVE tomorrow! 🎉

Grandparents Day #1 at Centre Hall-Potter!

Centre Hall-Potter got us kicked off to a fantastic start, and what a great day it was! The turnout was amazing, and we are so thankful to all of our grandparents who came out to spend some special time with our students.

Your presence means so much to our students and our school community. Thank you for helping make today such a memorable one!

Building a Stronger Culture at Penns Valley!

Penns Valley Jr./Sr. High School students spent some time this morning with Mr. Baldwin and Mrs. Frymyer learning about bullying prevention and participating in an OLWEUS Bullying Prevention session.

It was a great opportunity for our students to talk, learn, and reflect on the importance of treating one another with kindness, respect, and compassion.

Sessions like this continue to demonstrate our commitment to preventing bullying, supporting our students, and creating a positive and welcoming culture here at Penns Valley.

Together, we can make a difference! 🐏

We are incredibly proud of our Marching Rams for proudly representing Penns Valley at Lewistown’s inaugural Red, White, and Goose Parade on September 29th, helping bring five days of Goose Day celebrations to a close! 🎶🥁

A special thank you to the Juniata River Valley Visitors Bureau for inviting our students to be part of this exciting community event. Our Marching Rams were exceptional ambassadors for Penns Valley and our entire community!

Thank you for representing the Ram Family with such pride, energy, and excellence!

🎉 Homecoming Parade ✔️

Despite the weather, the Homecoming Parade went on as planned and turned out to be a great celebration of our Penns Valley community! 💙🤍

This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a part-time position with a school schedule.

✨ Position Highlights:
• Monday–Friday
• Daylight hours
• No evenings or weekends
• Holidays off
• Paid Time Off (PTO)
• Work in a local school kitchen/cafeteria

Responsibilities may include food preparation, serving, sanitation, inventory assistance, and helping provide nutritious meals to our students each day. Food service experience is preferred, but a willingness to learn and a positive work ethic are important! 💙
