🏀 F1T Foundation Basketball & Fitness Camp
A full day focused on development, competition, learning, and inspiration for the next generation. The camp begins at 9:00 AM, with registration opening at 8:15 AM.

💰 Parent Financial Seminar — 10:00 AM
Parents and guardians of camp participants can take advantage of this FREE financial education session, featuring Demetrice Dawkins, Head of Investments & Wealth Management at MassMutual. A great opportunity to learn, plan, build, and empower your family financially while your child is participating in camp.

Today, we proudly recognize John “Sully” Sullivan, a Founding Committee Member of the Kamari B. Williams Memorial Scholarship Fund.

Sully’s commitment has always been bigger than a single event. As a lifelong Springfield advocate and successful entrepreneur, he has consistently used his businesses, relationships, and resources to strengthen our mission and expand our impact throughout the community.

More importantly, Sully isn’t just a committee member…he’s family. A close friend of Kamari dating back to their high school years, he has remained a steadfast supporter of the Williams family for decades. His loyalty, generosity, and willingness to step up whenever needed have helped make this scholarship fund what it is today.

Beyond our organization, Sully and his family have quietly supported countless charities and causes throughout Western Massachusetts, always believing that strong communities are built by people willing to give back.

The Kamari B. Williams Memorial Scholarship Foundation is proud to recognize Dwayne Early Sr. for his unwavering dedication, service, and commitment as a Founding Committee Member.

For decades, Dwayne has been one of Springfield’s strongest advocates for youth athletics. As the City-wide Athletic Director for Springfield Public Schools, he has helped elevate athletic programs across the district, creating opportunities for countless student-athletes to compete at the regional and state levels while opening doors to higher education through athletic scholarships.

Our scholarship fund has been strengthened by Dwayne’s leadership, relationships, and vision. His ability to connect people, access resources, and expand our reach throughout Springfield Public Schools has played a significant role in helping us grow our impact and continue Kamari’s legacy.

Behind every successful community effort are people who work tirelessly without asking for recognition. Tracy Bradford has been one of those people since day one.

As a founding committee member of the Kamari B. Williams Memorial Scholarship Fund, Tracy has continuously invested his time, resources, and relationships to ensure Kamari’s legacy continues to impact the next generation.

Whether serving our community as a healthcare professional, coaching alongside Kamari on the basketball court, or supporting countless Springfield organizations (both publicly and quietly behind the scenes) Tracy has always answered the call. His ability to network, build relationships, and simply get things done has been invaluable to our mission.

There is no scholarship tournament without committed people willing to serve, and Tracy has been one of the pillars helping us honor Kamari’s life for the past six years.

Today, we proudly recognize Chad “Chizz” Jacobs for his unwavering dedication to the Kamari B. Williams Memorial Scholarship Fund.

As a founding committee member, Chizz has been an instrumental part of this event since day one. His commitment to honoring Kamari’s memory has never wavered, and his leadership continues to strengthen everything we do.

A former Local 648 Firefighters Union President and now a Massachusetts Department of Youth Services Administrator, Chizz has dedicated his life to serving others. Whether protecting our communities as a firefighter or helping rehabilitate young people through his work with DYS, his mission has always been the same…to make a difference.

Within our committee, Chizz is known for one thing above all else…accountability. He keeps us focused, keeps us organized, and makes sure we never lose sight of why this scholarship fund exists. His ability to challenge us, encourage us, and keep us moving forward has been invaluable over the past six years.

Today, we proudly recognize Stephen “Stevie” Athas for his dedication and service to the Kamari B. Williams Memorial Scholarship Fund.

Although Stevie is one of our newest committee members, you’d never know it. His lifelong commitment to the City of Springfield, his deep love for Kamari, and his passion for serving others made him an immediate and invaluable part of our team. His voice, wisdom, and decades of experience have strengthened every conversation and every decision we’ve made.

For more than 50 years, Stevie has invested in the young people of Springfield through sports, education, mentorship, and community leadership. His recent words upon being recognized as a Hometown Hero perfectly capture the way he has lived his life:

“It takes a village and I’m just part of that village. I’m part of a village in sports, I’m part of a village in education, I’m part of a village in the city of Springfield that I dearly love.”

That spirit of selfless service is exactly why Stevie’s presence on our committee means so much.
