The latest from MoDOT on the Lackland bridge project:

Motorists who travel the Lackland Rd. bridge over I-170 will need to use alternate routes as the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) closed the bridge on Monday, Dec. 5. The closure will last approximately seven months.

Contractors will be removing the old driving surface of the bridge and replacing it with a new one. New sidewalks and a barrier wall will also be placed on the bridge.

During the removal of the old driving surface, I-170 will be closed in both directions. This closure is schedule to take place starting at 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9 through 5 a.m. Monday, Dec. 12. All work is weather, permitting.

As of tonight, the Midland bridge over 170 has reopened for traffic. Sidewalks and safety rails have been added to both sides for pedestrian traffic. The Lackland bridge now closes for approximately 7 months for similar repairs.

Here's when the St. Louis area's newest Costco is set to open The St. Louis region’s fourth Costco store will open Oct. 25, a city spokeswoman confirmed.

The construction for the Midland bridge over I-170 is about to be underway. Starting at 9 a.m. on Monday, June 6, crews will completely close Midland over the Interstate. This bridge will remain closed through October. Signed detours will be in place to navigate around the closure. During construction, crews will rehabilitate the bridge. After construction is complete on this bridge, crews will begin work on Lackland over I-170.

The Midland Blvd bridge over 170 will close for replacement on June 6, 2022. Residents will need to plan alternate routes to cross 170. The Lackland bridge will remain open during the work on Midland, and then that bridge will close for replacement as well.
