Effective April 11, the senior commander has directed face coverings are required for anyone that visits or works at the Commissary. Facemasks will not be distributed at the commissary.

Remember, a face covering does NOT need to be a mask, but can be any of a number of cloth items that cover both the nose and mouth. These can include but are not limited to bandanas, scarves, cloth, neck gaiters or "medical type" masks.

Centers for Disease Control provides instruction on homemade cloth face coverings at https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prevent-getting-sick/diy-cloth-face-coverings.html. The CDC recommends that cloth face coverings should not be placed on children younger than 2 years of age and anyone who has trouble breathing, or is unconscious, incapacitated or otherwise unable to remove the cover without assistance.
