We love having a backlog of photos to share of the many projects that are being completed. Here are some beautiful new sinks in Canaan for washing up.
Every time you donate to Solea your dollars go directly to clean water and sanitation efforts exactly like this. π«Άπ»

When we talk about community ownership and responsibility being an important part of the process, we aren't making it up.
The communities we work with show up with everything they have, the old and the young---everyone contributes.
These photos are from Baja Puru on pipe burying day, the chief's son is the young boy burying pipes with his crutch in the second photo.

Since we have some new faces around here, we thought it would be helpful to reshare some of our core values--one of them being sustainability + long term solutions. So, straight from our website:
"We're committed to solutions that will withstand the test of time. By partnering with organizations on the ground we're always available if something goes wrong, we're able to select culturally appropriate technologies, and set up maintenance plans in every community - making sure clean water continues to flow for years."

We don't know if you've heard, but our compostable toilets are all the rage in Panama! π½ππΌ
Communities and individuals are excited about having this amenity and are partnering with us to make it happen.
You can join the partnership as well and donate towards supplies so that this practical need can be met!

Perspective is an important part of planning well within the communities we work with.
Engaging creatively, practically, and culturally ensures solid footing on a project.

A special celebration in Nazaret a couple of months ago, and some words from .
"The main purpose of the trip was to bring one of our key donors to visit a community water system inauguration. We brought them out to Nazaret for a celebration, filled with traditional dances, jagua (a temporary body tattoo,) and a special lunch prepared by and eaten together with the whole community. Lots of people gave speeches to recognize everyone's efforts to make the water system possible. It was such a special time to celebrate alongside the community (all of their hard work.)"

The Guainora Family with their new composting toilet. π
When we work with families to construct latrines they take an active role in gathering materials, as well as helping with the construction of their toilets.
Check out our stories for more families with their new commodes.

Water tanks on their way to Baja Puru via canoe. The logistics and transportation of equipment for water system installation is frequently complicated. But for Solea's team it is just 'another day in the life...' of clean water work. πΆ π¦

A tank being moved into place in Wala.
There is an incredible amount of work being accomplished in multiple communities right now.
While the end product of a project is the goal, the grit and energy that goes into that final result is enormous. Today we are celebrating the hard work it takes for a community to have their needs met.
This work is worth all of the sweat and tears when it brings safety, care, and sustainability. π¦
