My wife Laura and I moved our family to Clayton School District in 2010. We have three kids: Gregory, a 2019 graduate from CHS; Ruthie, a Junior at CHS; and Mary, a 6th grader at Wydown. Several members of our school community are helping to organize a protest on Wydown Blvd. from 5:00 - 7:00 pm Monday evening. I will be there on Monday supporting this effort and I invite you to join me. It’s important to support the right to protest and demand change! We also need to keep everyone’s health and safety in mind, so if you take part please make sure to wear a mask, observe social distancing and do your part to make sure that our community is safe and discouraging any form of violence.

One more clip from our Town Hall last week answering a question from Elad Gross For Missouri that we are all thinking about - What will school look like in the fall?

I’m honored to be endorsed for re-election by the Clayton chapter of the NEA, a union that represents teachers in our district.

Throughout my time as a Board member I have enjoyed getting to know more of our teachers and working with them to always try to do what is best for our students.

As such an unusual school year comes to an end, a big thank you to all of our teachers who worked hard the last two months to keep our students learning and engaged.

Our Student Representative to the Board shares what he thinks can and should be done to ensure students continue to progress in their studies.

Another great question from Tuesday's Town Hall: What can citizens do to make sure all student and teacher needs are met?

In a nutshell - advocate for your kids and don't forget to vote!

During our Town Hall on Tuesday, we were asked about how the school district can respond to COVID-19. We don't have all the answers yet, but I'm doing everything I can to support the district's efforts to prepare for our new reality in public education.
