🚔 UPDATE: Surplus Dodge Charger Available for Viewing

The Stover Police Department’s 2016 Dodge Charger is back at the PD / City Hall and available for viewing! Anyone interested is welcome to stop by and look it over. Please call ahead if you would like to hear it run.

A few updates for prospective bidders:

🔧 Mechanical Issue: The previously mentioned, undiagnosed mechanical issue involved a subtle shaking sensation at higher speeds. The vehicle has not been officially inspected by a mechanic. However, after the light bar was removed, we did not experience the shaking while driving it back to the PD. This is simply an observation, not confirmation that the issue has been resolved. The cause remains unknown, and prospective bidders should use their own judgment when evaluating the vehicle.

🔋 Battery: Some battery work has been done, and the Charger now starts up like new!

❄️ Air Conditioning: We also discovered that the air conditioning is not working.

As a reminder, this vehicle is being sold as surplus. We encourage interested bidders to look it over and make their own assessment before submitting a bid.

Location: Stover Police Department / City Hall
107 W. 2nd St., Stover, MO 65078

Sealed bids are being accepted through October 31 at midnight.

Please contact the department with any questions or to arrange to hear the vehicle run.

🚓 Surplus Vehicle Update

The surplus vehicle has temporarily been moved from the Stover Police Department parking lot so that some routine maintenance and mechanical work can be completed.

We’re doing this to make sure the vehicle is in better condition and ready for potential buyers to inspect and hear it run before the sealed bid process.

We’ll provide another update once the vehicle is back at the Police Department and available for viewing.

Bids are still open during this time if you choose to submit one.

Thank you for your patience!

We are happy to report that power is being restored throughout the city.

After the severe storm left many homes, businesses, and properties damaged, our community responded in a way that truly speaks to who we are. What could have been a moment of chaos quickly turned into one of unity, strength, and compassion.

We want to extend our deepest thanks to all of the agencies and individuals who stepped up without hesitation. To Morgan County E-911, our dispatchers were overwhelmed with calls, yet never wavered and continued to serve with strength and professionalism. To Mid-Mo Ambulance District, Morgan County Emergency Management, and the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office, your dedication and teamwork did not go unnoticed.

To the emergency response teams, the crews working tirelessly to restore power, and every single person who played a role in keeping our community safe, we are beyond grateful.

And to our citizens… thank you. The amount of calls offering help, volunteering time, and checking on neighbors was something truly special. Strangers helping strangers, neighbors looking out for one another, people showing up however they could… it was powerful to witness.

Thank you to everyone who came together to help our city in its time of need.

Please remember the cleanup process is still ongoing, and your cooperation and continued patience is appreciated.
