It is often overlooked that the local officials serving your district are also neighbors and community members. Many serve on committees and commissions for little to no compensation, contributing countless hours simply out of a dedication to our shared community. Local officials receive no special incentives or treatment; we live, work, and raise our families here, and are subject to the same rules, taxes, and regulations as every other resident.

My own children have practically grown up attending these meetings. Due to the high cost of babysitting, they spent many school nights at the back of the council chambers completing their homework. I have devoted my time and energy to this council because I care deeply about the future of our community and hope to make it a place where the next generation chooses to stay.

I share this to respectfully request that residents remain mindful of spreading rumors and maintain a level of civil discourse toward those who volunteer to serve. While constructive criticism and policy disagreements are a natural part of local government, personal attacks directed at officials and their families are never appropriate.

I had the best time at StroudFest! So many great bands and vendors! I love the new foot print and spread. I wandered to Artisians on Ann Street too. This was an amazing day filled with music, food, friends and neighbors!

As a council member who walks Main Street every day and as a parent whose children walk throughout this town, I want our community to be safe and free from the recent incidents that occurred.

I am grateful to the Stroud Area Regional Police Department for taking our complaints seriously and stepping up patrols to address these issues. My only request to everyone is that we prioritize using the emergency and non-emergency lines immediately when incidents occur; taking videos or photos should always be secondary to calling for emergency services.

Thank you to everyone who has contacted me individually and through council to keep us focused on public safety.

We honor Ellen while also telling the complete story of Bryant Street Park. We recognize Rick Chamberland. We recognize the volunteers who have been here for years. A community park is built by many hands. But sometimes, within that village, there are individuals whose particular dedication changes a place in a lasting way.

For me, Ellen is one of those people.

We renamed Bryant Street Park celebrating the legacy of Ellen who created a lasting impact on the community.

I was very lucky to catch CJ Shapiro’s art exhibit. She is genuinely one of my favorite artists (and people!) She is a talented woman I am lucky to know!

It was an honor to attend the beautiful celebration honoring the Joey K Foundation and its work raising awareness for addiction and sobriety. The community truly showed up with moving testimonials and songs to honor his legacy and promote a path forward for those who are struggling.

I officiated a wedding for someone I've known for seven years, and it was clear that he and his wife are perfect for each other. Never doubt that people become the best versions of themselves when they are loved implicitly. I feel grateful to have been the officiant and a guest at their special day.
