A huge thank you to everyone who rode the Iowa Interstate Railroad passenger train yesterday and to all the wonderful volunteers and our board members who helped make the day such a success!
We are especially grateful to the Iowa Interstate Railroad for providing this special fundraising opportunity. The proceeds will go toward repainting the signature poles along the White Pole Road Scenic Byway, as well as other projects that help increase tourism and support the communities and businesses along the byway.

We're looking for Drone Photographers who would be willing to capture drone photos or video of the Iowa Interstate Railroad passenger train traveling between Stuart and Adair this Saturday, October 17! You can be anywhere along the route from Stuart to Adair.

We would also LOVE for everyone riding the train to share their favorite snapshots from this special experience! Whether it's photos of your family, the beautiful countryside, or the train itself, we'd love to see them!

🚂 IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR SATURDAY'S TRAIN RIDERS! 🚂

The White Pole Road Scenic Byway Board is excited to welcome you aboard tomorrow, Saturday, October 17! Thank you for supporting this special event in partnership with the Iowa Interstate Railroad.

PLEASE READ THESE IMPORTANT DETAILS BEFORE ARRIVING:

📍 LOCATION: Stuart Depot, 204 E. Front Street, Stuart, Iowa.

🎟️ CHECK-IN: You MUST check in 30 minutes before your scheduled departure inside the depot to receive your boarding ticket. The train ride is approximately 40 minutes roundtrip.

🚗 PARKING & SAFETY: Please park NORTH of the train tracks. If you park south of the railroad tracks, you MUST use the Division Street sidewalk crossing to reach the depot. DO NOT cross the tracks anywhere else! Your safety is our top priority, and unauthorized crossings could result in the train rides being shut down. There will also be parking available in the grass lot east of the depot.

🚂 BOARDING: Passengers will board and exit the train in the small parking lot just west of the depot.

♿ ACCESSIBILITY: These historic 1920s train cars have stairs and narrow aisles and are not wheelchair accessible. Passengers must be able to climb stairs with minimal assistance. Space will be available to leave strollers and wheelchairs.

🧥 DRESS FOR THE WEATHER: The train cars are not heated or air-conditioned, so please dress accordingly. We encourage everyone to wear 1920s attire for a fun step back in time, but it is not required!

📸 PHOTOS & EXTRAS: A professional photographer will be available for family photos ($20) inside the depot, and each train ride will include a history talk. Snack packs will be available for purchase from the Stuart Theatre while you wait. No food or drinks are allowed on the train.
