What happens now in the Senate race? You decide the new nominee. Here are the details:

STEP 1: This coming weekend, each County Democratic Committee will hold a meeting. At this meeting, any registered Democrats as of June 9th can run as a Delegate to represent their County. Any registered Democrat can vote on their Delegates.

STEP 2: These Delegates (500 in total, proportioned by county population), plus 101 members of the state committee, go to a Convention on July 25th in Bangor, where they vote on the new nominee.

WHAT YOU CAN DO NOW:

RUN as a Delegate! (Deadline: Wed, July 15th ) OR

PRE-REGISTER TO VOTE at your County Nominating Meeting at:

Once you do, you'll receive updates about where and when the meetings are held this coming weekend when more information is released.

The Hancock selectboard voted to put the moratorium question to a special meeting on June 17th. If the town votes for the moratorium, then the 180 days goes into effect. In that case, the town would vote in December on the/a lot-rent cap ordinance.

Attorney Brian Thomas (D-Lamoine) is running as a write-in for County Judge of Probate in the June 9 Primary Election. To qualify for the November General Election Ballot, Brian needs 300 write-in votes. Under Judge of Probate, write his name correctly on the blank line and fill in the oval in front of it.

Town of Hancock Nomination Petitions are now available. One month remains to collect 25 signatures to get on the May Ballot for Selectperson/Assessor (2 seats); school board (2 seats); planning board (1 seat).

Visit Claire at her Store "Dulse and Rugosa" @ 337 US Hwy 1 in Gouldsboro, on Sundays from 2-4 PM to sign her Nomination Petition

Claire Weinberg is collecting the required signatures of registered Democrats in eastern Hancock County and all of Washington County to qualify for the June 9 Primary Ballot.
