Running lawnmower ash test: Doña Lydia Robusto passes with ease.
Nice little cigar overall. Construction, blend, burn. Definitely a bit upscale for a mere yardgar!

A great cigar is a matter of good taste.

Beaujolais Nouveau!!
The tradition is great; the wine can be a bit dodgy.
Definitely worth a bottle each November to celebrate the harvest. Seems like the makings of a good pagan holiday!

VOTE!!!
It's your right, and your civic duty.
It's also your responsibility to be educated and informed - which is genuinely tough regardless of which side you lean towards.
What's most important isn't decided today. The work that must be done, and we've all failed greatly at, must begin anew now...today, tomorrow, and into the future. That is the coming together as fellow citizens who are personally invested in preserving, protecting, and improving this great Nation. We've allowed ourselves to be divided by the politicians and government. It is we who should be dividing them as their power derives from the consent of the governed.
It shouldn't take a hurricane (FL) or a catastrophic flood (W-NC) to remind us that we're all neighbors and in this together, and btw we're all way better people than the other party (and most media) says we are.
The work begins anew every day.
(Take a moment and think about what Americans have navigated since even before 1776. It's our turn to stand watch.)

Without even considering the really well-made Old Fashion, this Añejo is fantastic. The shape exhibits this wrapper and blend perfectly. And Kyle has a few thousand prefect cuts under his belt too, not to mention he knows his humidor.
If you haven't been to King Corona recently, you're overdue!!

This struck me the most from all of the remembrance posts today.
Not only must we never forget those who died, but those of us who were old enough to live through watching the events of that tragic Tuesday in September, we too were forever changed and we must never lose sight of the chance to do more good going forward.
We can overcome evil by remembrance and success. Recognize the gift that your life is and that you still have and never take it for granted and waste a moment.
You know where you were at each of these moments on the clock.

Thanks to all of the Allied Forces who did the impossible and unthinkable. I'm not sure they knew they could do it, but they knew they had to try, and they succeeded, with plenty of suffering and sacrifice. 80 years ago these brave men and women faced down a threat of evil bent on destroying the world. We owe a debt that we cannot repay, but we can be wise(r) stewards of the improved life and the world they bestowed upon us.

December 7, 1941.
A day which will live in infamy.
A day that set my grandfathers onto their paths in service, which would forever change them.
A day that we should never forget because it reminds us that evil isn't new, but if it is met ferociously and bravely, it can be defeated and it can be overcome.
We fought differently back then and we achieved better outcomes.
Talk to your kids...or start by reading a scholarly article or two quietly by yourself about Pearl Harbor. It happened and we must learn.

After a full day hanging with her friends at Sammie Belle was strongly considering just staying in the truck for a nap.
