At our El Reloj factory, dried leaves are carefully rehydrated to restore their flexibility and character. This slow, controlled process is essential in preparing each leaf for sorting and rolling by hand.
The result? An exceptional premium cigar.
Yesterday, we celebrated 131 years of J.C. Newman Cigar Co. at our sixth annual Founder’s Day celebration!
It was a tribute to community, history and all that makes Cigar City so special. A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and made this incredible day possible!

Our sixth annual Founder’s Day brought the community together to celebrate the tradition, craftsmanship and spirit that have defined our company for generations. From exploring our cigar factory and museum to the annual Cuban Sandwich Eating Challenge and classic 5 cent ci**rs, it was a celebration of the legacy that started it all and the people who keep it going.
