We’re grateful to the New Tampa Rotary Club for inviting Mandy Cloninger, CEO of Meals On Wheels of Tampa, to speak at their meeting, “Nourishing, Enriching & Strengthening Seniors.”
Mandy shared why this work matters so much — making sure seniors and homebound neighbors in Tampa have a nutritious meal, a friendly visit, and the reminder that they are not alone.
It was a meaningful morning spent with people who care deeply about service and community. Thank you to everyone who welcomed Mandy and took the time to learn more about the mission of Meals On Wheels of Tampa.

Today, Meals On Wheels of Tampa was grateful to welcome a wonderful group from Citi for Group Day!
Their team jumped right in to support our mission, delivering 7 routes and approximately 125 meals, including both hot meals for today and weekend packs for our homebound and senior neighbors.
Volunteer groups like Citi help us deliver more than meals — they help deliver care, connection, and community.
Thank you, Citi, for spending your time with us and giving back to Tampa in such a meaningful way!

Behind every meal delivered is someone who said yes. 💚
Meet Janette from Suncoast Credit Union — one of the incredible community partners showing up for our seniors. When a local business shows up to volunteer, it's not just hours on a clipboard. It's a ripple effect. It's coworkers becoming neighbors. It's a Tampa senior opening their door to a friendly face instead of an empty afternoon.
To Janette and every Suncoast team member who's rolled up their sleeves with us — thank you for being part of the family.

This is what showing up looks like. 🤍
JoRene. Louise and Thuan. Denny and Nancy. And so many like them — neighbors who decided that retirement isn't about slowing down. It's about redirecting. Their time, their energy, their cars, their compassion — all of it pointed toward a senior across town who's waiting on a hot meal and a kind word.
Louise and Thuan deliver as a team. So do Denny and Nancy. Two doors, two friendly faces, one shared mission.
There's a quiet kind of heroism in our volunteer corps. No capes. No headlines. Just keys in the ignition, meals in the back seat, and the steady belief that no senior in Tampa should go hungry or unseen.
To every volunteer who keeps showing up: you are the reason this works. 🙏
Tag a volunteer who deserves a shout-out today — or come ride along with us at mowtampa.org.

A few weeks back, our CEO Mandy Cloninger joined the senior potluck at the Spurlino Family YMCA at Big Bend Road in Riverview — and it was everything a community gathering should be: flower crowns, full plates, and a whole lot of laughter.
This is the heart of what we do. A seat at the table isn't just about the food. It's about belonging — knowing someone saved you a spot and is glad you showed up.
Thank you to for hosting and for such a warm welcome. Grateful for days like this.

For many of our neighbors, the knock at the door each morning is the highlight of their day. Not just because of the hot, nutritious meal waiting inside — but because of the person delivering it.
Our homebound neighbors live independently, and that independence is something they treasure deeply. What we bring them each weekday isn't just food. It's connection. It's a daily reminder that they are seen, valued, and part of this community.
Over 50 years of showing up. Every single day. 💛

🍴 What a wonderful evening at our New Sustainer Reception!
Last week, we welcomed our newest Sustainers for an evening of connection, conversation, and a behind-the-scenes look at the heart of our work here at Meals On Wheels of Tampa. From our kitchen to our meal-packaging line, guests saw firsthand how their monthly support turns into nourishing meals delivered with care across our community.
A heartfelt thank-you to everyone who joined us, mingled with our team, and learned more about the impact they're making every single day. We even sent everyone home with a complimentary professional headshot! 📸
Our Sustainers are the steady force that keeps neighbors nourished, enriched, and strengthened year-round. We're so grateful to have you in the family. 💛
