Join our team! Library Services is seeking a Library Service & Technology Guide (Tier 1) to support the library’s Adult Literacy unit.
This position involves the intake of new adult literacy students, English language learners, and literacy tutors. Job duties include providing customer service and clerical support related to adult literacy and library programming.
The ideal candidate will be proficient in managing and organizing content in Microsoft Excel and other software and will have a strong background in customer service with skills in professional communication via phone, email, and in-person.
Bilingual skills (speaking and writing proficiency in English and Spanish) are highly desirable.

In 2026 (so far) HLC volunteers have spent over 1100 hours tutoring students.
We are thankful for all of our volunteers and the many hours they have dedicated to helping people to learn to read and write, and helping people to learn to speak English.
