We visited 15 Boys and Girls Clubs, engaging with outstanding middle school students all over Hillsborough County. Our goals were to:
💡explain the purpose of Public Defenders
💼introduce them to various legal and judicial careers
🌎 inspire them to create positive change in their communities

Our team had a great time and we thank the Boys & Girls Clubs of Tampa Bay for the opportunity!

PD13 proudly joined Safe & Sound Hillsborough for the premiere of Atone: A Blink Film, the latest installment in their impactful short-film series 🎬 Dedicated to preventing youth gun violence, Safe & Sound Hillsborough continues to be a valued community justice partner ✨

Last week, our attorneys participated in a CLE seminar that overviewed sexual offense cases, highlighting the empathy needed to handle these cases. They brushed up on skills such as deposing a child protection investigator, experts, risk assessments, evidence views, and more. We prioritize continuous training and education for our team, especially when handling such sensitive topics. 📘🎓

Our team is onsite at the Florida Public Defender Association Winter Training, engaging in workshops like “Emerging Tech in Criminal Law” ⚖️ and “Social Media Evidence in Criminal Cases.” 📱 We’re committed to continuous learning and development to enhance our attorneys’ skills and uphold the high-quality representation our clients deserve! 🤝
