Day 2 of Gasparilla Distance Classic was epically fun! We worked with our amazing Tampa General Hospital team again, we help hype the crowds before their start, cheer them on and we are there at the end if they need us. Shout out to all the amazing clinicians and volunteers who work this race.
We saw some amazing athleticism today during the and , many of whom completed the challenge (all four races, yesterday and today).

Pinellas County Sandbag info…
Sandbag distribution locations will open Sunday and Monday for unincorporated Pinellas residents to prepare for potential flooding from increased rainfall, which could occur from Tropical Storm Ian as it approaches Florida next week.
Sandbag distribution locations open Sunday and Monday, 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. or as supplies last:
▶️ John Chesnut Sr. Park: 2200 East Lake Road in Palm Harbor
▶️ Walsingham Park: 12615 102nd Ave, Seminole
▶️ Lealman Exchange, 5175 45th St N, St. Petersburg
Sandbags limited to 20 per person – materials will be supplied, shovels available.
John Chesnut and Walsingham Park will be closed Sunday and Monday except for sandbag operations.
City residents can check with their cities about other sandbag availability.
Sandbags are only recommended for residents who may experience minor flooding from rainfall. Sandbags are not recommended for storm surge from the bay or tidal waters.

Hillsborough County Administrator Bonnie Wise today signed an executive order declaring a state of local emergency.
To help residents prepare for potential flooding from Tropical Storm Ian, Hillsborough County will be making sandbags available to the public beginning at 10 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 25.
All County parks and preserves, including recreation centers, will be closed tomorrow to support sandbag operations. Tropical Storm Ian Update No. 2: bit.ly/3dG6F2d.
