Giving back to the community has no age limit! πβ€οΈ
Our Aging Services Team recently honored Gloria Pate and Vyline Beaupierre as Volunteers of the Year!
πGloria, a member of the Ruskin Senior Center since 2016, serves as a line dance instructor who encourages older adults to remain active. When she's not at the Ruskin senior center, she devotes her time mentoring formerly incarcerated individuals.
πVyline, a member of the Gardenville Senior & Dining Center, actively recruits new volunteers and supports community outreach efforts designed to connect and assist seniors. She even supports local youth facing food insecurity in the summer by cooking and donating meals to them.

Have you ever taken a stroll on the Lettuce Lake boardwalk, stopped to spot some birds at Cockroach Bay Preserve, or gone for a hike at Edward Medard Conservation Park? π§

We manage over 63,400 acres of endangered, environmentally sensitive, and significant lands in Hillsborough County. π§ One of the most important and at-risk ecosystems we care for are our wetlands.
During American Wetlands Month and throughout the year, stop by one of our parks or preserves to help to support and spread awareness for local wetlands! π±

βοΈ All aboard! Our inaugural Boating Safety Day was a success!
The Hillsborough Marine Safety Unit teamed up with U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, Hillsborough County Fire Rescue, Florida, and Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office to help boaters stay safe and informed this summer.
