It is with heavy hearts that we acknowledge the passing of Driver Engineer Jeannie Thomas.

For over 26 years, Jeannie dedicated her life to serving this community with strength, compassion, and unwavering commitment. She wore the badge with pride and represented the very best of what it means to serve others.

Beyond her professional service, JEANNIE and her family volunteered countless hours over the years supporting the Sincerely Santa program — giving back, lifting families in need, and embodying the true spirit of compassion both on and off duty. Her servant’s heart extended far beyond the firehouse.

Her impact reached well beyond the calls she responded to — she was family. Her dedication, professionalism, and love for this community made a lasting difference in the lives of those she worked beside and the citizens she protected.

We extend our deepest and most heartfelt condolences to Jeannie’s family, friends, and our entire fire service family during this incredibly difficult time. May you find comfort in the legacy of service she leaves behind and the countless lives she touched over more than two decades of faithful service.
