On Tuesday, I started the day at the Valrico FishHawk Chamber of Commerce General Assembly. I always love attending this meeting because of the great group of people and it is held at one of my favorite places in Valrico, Voodoo Brewing Co. It is a great way to start the day. Then I attended the Ybor City Chamber of Commerce Annual Installation Luncheon at the Columbia Restaurant. Board Chair, Drew Newman of J.C. Newman Cigar Company, the Officers, and Directors were installed and there was the ceremonial passing of the gavel. I enjoy these Chamber meetings because they allow me to connect with the business owners and leaders that make up such an important part of each of these communities.

I was honored to sponsor and attend the 64th Annual East Hillsborough Law Enforcement Appreciate Dinner where officers from Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, Plant City Police Department, Florida Fish and Wildlife, and Florida Highway Patrol were honored for their outstanding service. The evening recognized the work and dedication of all the brave men and women who serve and protect our community.

I am grateful that I had the opportunity to personally thank and appreciate so many officers that I have had the pleasure of working with in the courtroom. Congratulations to this year's award recipients and thank you to all of our law enforcement officers.

Thank you to Plant City city manager Bill McDaniel for chairing such a perfect event and to Johnson Barbeque for providing a delicious dinner.

Updates from the campaign trail! Last Wednesday, I attended the "Seis de Mayo" Happy Hour hosted by Hillsborough County Bar Young Lawyers Division, Hillsborough Association for Women Lawyers, and the Tampa Hispanic Bar Association. It was a fun night getting to catch up with friends and colleagues. On Thursday, I attended the Goldberg-Cacciatore Inn of Court Happy Hour. Inns of Court is a tradition dating back to 14th century England to foster professionalism, mentorship, and civility within the legal community. I first started participating in our local Inns of Court when I joined Ferguson-White when I was a law student at Stetson University College of Law. And on Monday, I participated in the Women in Leadership Cocktail Hour celebrating Mother's Day. Thank you Cindy Stuart for continuing to bring together this group of amazing, accomplished women each month to build and foster relationships and connection.

On Saturday, I had the opportunity to again sponsor and participate in the Hillsborough Cattlemen Foundation Clay Shoot. Team Peacock fared a lot better this year in the competition. The clay shoot raises funds to support the Foundation's mission to increase youth involvement in agriculture programs like FFA and 4H and it is always a fun event with great company and a delicious steak lunch. Thank you to FishHawk Sporting Clays for hosting a safe, welcoming, and fun event.

We had a wonderful night at the H.B. Plant High School Centennial Gala on Friday. It was an amazing celebration of the impact in the community of 100 years of education and connections. My grandfather, mom, brother and I are all Plant Grads. It was special to share the night with my mom and my best friend. P.H.S. Go Panthers! 🖤💛🖤💛

On Wednesday, I had the privilege to attend the Portico Housing Solutions (PHS) Annual Breakfast at The Portico. PHS’s mission is to help employed, homeless men rebuild their lives with safe, supportive housing and transition to stability. It was an inspiring event, highlighting how far the program has come and how they are building for the future. Afterwards, I attended the Hillsborough County Bar Association Military & Veterans Affairs Committee CLE luncheon "Continuing the Call to Public Service." On Thursday, I attended the Athena Society's Phyllis P. Marshall Career Assistance Grants Luncheon. The Athena Society annually awards career assistance grants to deserving women in support of their educational goals. All six women awarded grants have demonstrated incredible resilience in pursuing their education and career goals. Tampa Fire Rescue Chief Barbara Tripp gave a wonderful keynote about her career journey that highlighted the importance of education and opportunity.

What an amazing evening at The Junior League of Tampa Annual Dinner. It was exciting to spend time with this amazing group of women and reflect on the impact this great organization has had on our community for the past 100 years. Tonight also marked my move to Sustainer status. Grateful for the friendships, leadership, and opportunities to give back through JLT over the years, and excited to continue supporting its mission and remaining actively involved in this next chapter.

Had an amazing night at the Aspire Plant City Annual Kentucky Derby Party and Fundraiser. It was great to catch up with friends, make new connections, and watch the Derby all while supporting a great cause. Proceeds from the event benefited this year's non-profit partner, Everyday Blessings, which provides housing, care, and support for children and young adults in the foster care system. Everyday Blessings was founded with a vision to keep siblings together while in foster care.

I had the privilege of attending the Brandon Riverview Chamber of Commerce Annual Chamber Member Awards hosted at the Hillsborough College Brandon campus. The energetic event recognized and celebrated the collective success and contributions to the commnity of a number of local businesses, organizations, and individuals. It was great to connect with fellow chamber members and community leaders and to sample the delicious food from the local restaurants and caterers competing for the coveted Best Taste Award. Congratulations to all the award winners!
