'Planet of the Apes' climbed by .send
Haven't really focused on photos lately...mostly just video. There is something special about a good photo though...especially if youre into good lighting.
'ShapeShifter' climbed by .send
Send footage starts in 3rd slide.
Spent many years in front of this boulder...and only a handful of times did we jokingly talk about a possible line that goes out right. Never seriously looked probably due to the lack of holds, especially feet down low.
Havent been out there in years...maybe the time apart gave way to a fresh vision. Finally rolled the back-breaking stones out from under the landing and chalked the holds. The beta took a frustratingly long time to dial in... but after many late night sessions, it finally came together. Proposed grade, V8.
Now its time for some to do it from the 'Shattered Fate' starting hueco down low!

Talking about natural lighting…here is a throwback that never saw the ‘light of day’ ;)
climbing with the crew out in Groom Creek many years ago.
This was always one of my favorite examples of natural lighting. Some times it comes through the trees at just the right angle and makes everything glow. You have a just a moment to capture it….so satisfying when do.
