If you want a comfortable 18-hour ferry ride from Argentia to North Sydney, book well in advance, because the cabins and pods get sold out quickly. Cabins are rooms with own toilets, pods are rooms with bunk beds and no toilets. We booked ours a month before, no more cabins or pods. On the day of travel, we checked in early (6 hrs before), and asked to be put on waitlist for both cabins and pods. An hour after we left Argentia, we heard our name on the speaker, we got the pods!
