Jay Lee was the absolute best. Incredibly funny. So sad to lose a great person, father, Conditions Team member, detective, and Tolland resident. Jay was also very active with his kids and the Tolland Little League. Rest in peace my friend.

Tolland DPW and Eversource CT are out trying to get the roads cleared and power restored this morning. We seem to be hovering around 100+/- outages through this storm.

Power outages starting to increase around the state. Tolland DPW has crews in through the storm. Eversource CT will be notified as wires come down. Pls remember, linemen typically do not go up in the bucket when wind gusts are more than 30 mph. In some scenarios, we may have to wait for wind gusts too slow before they can make repairs and restore power.

Active propane leak at 86 Buff Cap Rd. (Ivy Woods Apts). The Tolland Fire Department and the Connecticut State Police are actively securing the area and evacuating multiple affected apartments. There will be a large police and fire presence in the area while they work to secure the leak. The necessary people have been evacuated, and the scene is secure while they are working. Please avoid the area.
