We, as the greater Church of WNY, have a unique opportunity to come together to supply the nonprofit organizations ministering to the homeless in Buffalo, Niagara Falls, & Lockport. The Christian homeless shelters in Erie & Niagara Counties have partnered together to make one ask of all Christians in WNY to help us collectively purchase new sweatshirts, sweatpants, socks & underwear to keep our homeless neighbors warm this winter. We will be collecting funds and distributing supplies from September 2026 through March 2027. Share and come be a part of what God is bringing together in WNY.

Calling all WNY Christian creatives…whether you are a professional, aspiring to, or have a hobby in the “arts” (painter, photographer, sculptor, woodworker, and/or designer) here is a win-win opportunity to showcase your skills or passions while also supporting a local community in need this September!

The Buffalo Project Lab’s Arts Industry Table, in collaboration with Kingdom Bound Ministries and local churches, have put together a gallery, Beauty that Remains, to both showcase art from the heart of Christians in WNY, and benefit the Sheridan Parkside Life Center which serves the impoverished neighborhood it was established in.

If you are interested in participating and/or have further questions:

It’s back-to-school time at CMC! We will have lots of clothing/shoe options so all students will look & feel fabulous as they return to school; and don’t worry about the little ones, there is more than enough for them too!
We have 2 Back-to-School events to choose from Sat, Aug 8th and Fri, Aug 28th. Families may sign up/attend 1 event per month per household.

BACKPACKS/SCHOOL SUPPLIES: If you need backpack kits, be sure to complete the registration questions when signing up for your shopping appointment so we can guarantee you a kit. All kits are “first come, first served” & include a brand new backpack with bag of grade level supplies for a $5 per kit suggested donation (retail $75). Limit 3 per household. Grade level supplies are packed for PreK-1st grade, 2nd-6th grade & 7th-12th grade.

ADDED BONUS: Sat, Aug 8th- Our friends at The Gathering Place project are bringing their mobile food pantry to share FREE resources with families in need from 9-11am.
Fri, Aug 28th- Our friends at Felician Community Services will be on site with their Sneaker With Soul program to measure the feet of school age children (focus on K-5th grade) and seek to provide a brand new pair of sneakers. Note: children must be present to have their feet measured & shoes will be ordered with pick up 1-2 weeks later.

Please follow all appointment guidelines posted on the sign up link (select “see full description” for details) & in comments below; & always cancel your appointment if unable to attend.
