It was a good day at the MO Days Festival. Josh Smead candidate for US Representative brought his "Whistle Stop" listening tour to Trenton accompanied by Casey Scott - candidate for MO State Representative & Judy McNeece - candidate for MO State Senate. They were listening to the people and discussing the things that they champion and defend; keeping strong public schools and tax dollars only going to public schools, rural hospitals and healthcare, taking care of the working class & family farms, veterans & our military, the second amendment and creating opportunities for all!! If you support these things that they champion and defend - vote for Smead, Scott and McNeece. They will work for you!!

Josh Smead's Whistle Stop Bus Tour to Stop in Trenton & Missouri Day Events!!

County Democratic Chairperson Marie Dolan has announced
Josh Smead, 6th District candidate for the U. S. House, will bring his whistle stop bus tour to Trenton. Smead will be at the Democratic Booth in the livestock pavilion on the fairgrounds from 12:15-2:00 p.m., Friday, October 16th. He will be joined by local candidates for the Missouri Senate, Judy McNeece, and the Missouri House of Representatives, Casey Scott. Please help spread the word to be to be at the booth at that time to welcome these candidates to Grundy County.

This is a great opportunity for you to come greet the candidates, share with them your issues of concern, and hear their plans after taking office. I also encourage you to make a donation to “Committee to Elect Josh Smead” to help defray expenses of the bus tour.

We are very fortunate to be included in the stops the tour makes as it spends four days traveling throughout the 6th Congressional District. We certainly have a group of well qualified candidates to support this year!

We will be setting up the booth on Thursday, October 15th, at 3:30, and welcome your help. We will have yard signs available for the candidates, “Yes on 6” signs, as well as information concerning the proposals on the November ballot.

Grundy County Democrats will have an entry in the parade on Saturday, the 17th. There is also a group that has a trailer outfitted with campaign signs that will be following the bus tour part of the time. They have entered it in neighboring area parades and have already entered it in our Missouri Day Parade. With the Democratic Party, the trailer, and Casey Scott, the Democratic party will have at least three entries in the parade! Let’s keep this momentum going!

The Democratic Booth will be open on Friday from approximately 11:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m., depending on the crowd, and on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. We need everyone to sign up for a time to help in the booth. Grundy County Democrats - Meeting Announcements

Grundy County Democrats will meet Tuesday, September 15th, at noon, at Pizza Hut, in Trenton. Plans will be made for the Democratic booth at the fairgrounds at the Missouri Day Festival October 16th and 17th and the parade entries on the 17th. Attending and speaking at the meeting will be Judy McNeese, candidates for the Missouri Senate, and Casey Scott, candidate for the Missouri House.

At our last meeting, Casey Scott, Missouri House candidate, brought everyone up to date on the events and outreach events throughout the district where she has listened to constituents’ concerns involving health care, farming and agriculture, public education – including concerns regarding rural schools, and childcare.

Josh Smead, 6th District Congressional candidate, is planning a bus tour throughout the 6th district in October with local candidates, including Casey Scott and Judy McNeese joining him in our district. The exact dates are still being finalized but will be announced soon.

Join me for the first “Teach Me Town Hall” of my campaign, happening at Eastside Park, West Shelter House, Saturday May 30th from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm in Trenton, Missouri.

This will be a space for open, honest conversations about the challenges facing our rural communities. I’ve learned that the people living these issues every day understand them best, and often have the most practical solutions.

These town halls are about listening, learning, and working together. Everyone is welcome, no matter your political affiliation. I’ve always believed in showing up for everyone, and that’s exactly what I intend to do.

We will also collect donation items for Bright Futures Trenton A list of needed items include: body wash, shampoo, conditioner, laundry detergent, packages of pencils, notebooks and backpacks.

On Memorial Day, we pay tribute to the brave men and women in uniform who gave their lives for this country that we love. It is a debt we can never fully repay, but we must never stop trying. I’ll always be grateful to our fallen heroes and their families, whose sacrifice reminds us of what it means to live for something greater than ourselves.
