✨📚 Celebrating Native and Indigenous Stories 📚✨
In conjunction with Tucson Festival of Books, TUSD Native American Student Services is honored to welcome award-winning Native author Cynthia Leitich Smith for a special Native American Author Event!
Join us as we celebrate the power of Indigenous storytelling, culture, family, humor, and community through books that uplift Native voices and experiences. From beloved titles like Jingle Dancer, Ancestor Approved, Here Come the Aunties!, and Legendary Frybread Drive-In, her stories reflect the brilliance and resilience of Native communities.

TUSD students will receive a free book while supplies last, and we will have engaging activities for students throughout the evening, including a special beading activity created by Dr. Kimberly Robertson, Mvskoke educator and hosted by The Chapter House LA.

We had so much fun this February for STEM night with our friends at the San Xavier Education Center ❤️
This season's theme was engineering, where students got to see a 3D-printer in action. Thanks to our Spread the Wealth program, we get to pass out free books, too!
