🚙 First-time visitors: Don't be shy! We keep things simple with minimal paperwork, and our wonderful volunteers will load your groceries directly into your vehicle. You'll head home with everyday staples, proteins, and fresh produce.

See y’all soon!

🚨 THE CARROTS HAVE TAKEN OVER 🚨]
We love a good harvest and St. Luke’s is currently holding almost 3,000 lbs
of carrots.
Nutritionally, they are an absolute goldmine.

A single serving gives you:
• Vitamin A: A whopping 428% of your daily value (you’ll practically see through walls).
• Fiber & Potassium: Plenty to keep your heart happy.
• Calories: A grand total of 25 calories per carrot.
Which is great news, except it means we have a mountain of orange torpedoes to move.

What the heck are we gonna do with them all?
Simple: We do it the Southern way and drown them in dairy. If you're wondering how to handle your pantry box this week, make a Cheesy Southern Carrot Casserole. It is the ultimate trick to get your family to eat vegetables—they won't even know they're healthy.
The 4-Step Survival Guide:
1. Boil 2 lbs of sliced carrots until fork-tender.
2. Mix up a quick stove sauce with butter, flour, milk, onion powder, and sharp cheddar.
3. Toss the carrots in a baking dish, pour the cheese sauce over top, and bury it in crushed Ritz crackers tossed in melted butter.
4. Bake at 375°F for 30 minutes until golden and bubbly.
Come by St. Luke's food pantry and grab a bag. Please. We really need our floor space back. 🥕🧀

Who doesn't love a delicious deal? 🌾✨
Well, bless our hearts, we certainly do and got the absolute finest kind down at the St. Luke Food Pantry—because everything we hand out to our sweet neighbors is 100% free!

Now, if you’ve got a mind for a good bargain and the Lord has blessed you with a little extra to share, your dollars can do some mighty big things today. Our own dear director Jason has gone and worked some pure magic, finding a way to buy 8 whole jars of peanut butter for just $10 Now if that don't just warm your soul, I don't know what will. Think of all the sweet little smiles that'll bring! Hunger Coalition of Northeast Mississippi

Whether you’re coming on by to let us bless you with a basket full of good eating or looking to drop a little love in our bucket, we’re keeping the doors wide open this Thursday and Saturday during our regular hours. We've got plenty of groceries and a whole mess of open arms waiting on you.
See y'all there, beautiful faces! ❤️

Behind the scenes at Saint Luke's Food Pantry!

These hard-working fellas have been bagging up about 2,700 pounds of carrots this morning to get everything ready for tomorrow. A huge thank you to our wonderful neighbors at the Mid-South Food Bank in Memphis for providing this incredible supply.

Now, how do you know carrots are truly good for your eyes? Well, you never see a rabbit wearing glasses!
Come see us tomorrow morning. We will be open from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM and look forward to serving you.

POV: You’re staring down a box of beautiful peaches from St. Luke Food Pantry like it’s a high-stakes math final you didn’t study for. 🍑🧐

Listen, they bless us with these gorgeous bounty boxes, but some of us are out here just trying our best with absolutely zero culinary credentials.

Case in point: a certain someone had to pull out their phone and literally Google, "Do you have to peel the peaches before making a peach cobbler?"
Spoiler alert: it was me. I am "someone." 🙋‍♀️

But a huge shout-out to Ms. Faye from Mrs. Lacy's Magnolia House for the recipe and video that saved the day! It turns out these peaches actually journeyed all the way from Titan Farms in the Carolina’s where Ms. Faye is located too. We thought it was only fitting to bring a little bit of that Upstate magic down here to Mississippi and bake them up the right way.

Good news for my fellow non-bakers who are learning as they go: the recipe works like a charm and the internet says the skins soften right up in the oven anyway. That’s a win for saving your sanity and skipping the peeling! 🥧✨
Huge thank you to St. Luke's for keeping us fed, and to Ms. Faye for guiding us through it!
