Happy Birthday Bob!๐
Magical things can happen when you care and volunteer your time to help others. Villagers Bob and Carole Woodman had an amazing time with their volunteers.
Sometimes you can become great friends.
Thank you Nancy and Rich for being wonderful volunteers at Home in Place!โค๏ธ

New! Home In Place Workshop:
Bridging Perspectives
A Dialogue Workshop on Navigating Political Conversations:
Does talking about politics stress you out? Difficulty discussing divisive topics can create strain on our relationships, and the countryโs increasing political polarization has negative emotional impacts for many. How do we approach, share, and discuss our views with others without jeopardizing relationships? Join us at this 3 hour in person Home In Place sponsored workshop to explore these issues and practice new habits together. This workshop is for anyone 50+ and will be led by Kate Smith, MA, who is a UA doctoral candidate in Clinical Psychology-Gerontology. This workshop is part of the Alabama Research Institute on Aging at the University of Alabama. We have room for 12 participants and will prioritize HIP Villagers, volunteers, and members. If needed, we will schedule additional sessions and add other community members as space allows. Contact Shamire at [email protected] or call 205-210-9114 to reserve your space.
