We once again joined Whitefield Fire at the Whitefield Elementary School for fire prevention day.

Lt. Parks and FF Cheney brought E1 over and assisted with educating Pre-k through 4th grade on fire safety.

Thank you to Whitefield Fire for inviting us for the 4th year in a row and thank you to the school for allowing us to spend some time teaching the kids. Many of the students live in Twin Mountain and we are always happy when we can interact with our residents this way.

For training this month, we made use of the NH Fire Academy training facility in Bethlehem.
Lt. Parks led members in multiple hose advancement evolutions, including basement and high-rise fires. Followed by a mock firefighter down drill.
A big thank you to the NH Fire Academy for the use of the facility and the four Academy staff members for helping us put the training on.

Even after 25 years, the pain of this day feels fresh. So many lives taken and so many more forever impacted. Children lost parents, spouses never returned home, friends and colleagues wouldn't meet again.

We were told to never forget. We haven't, and we won't.

Remember the lost, remember the 343, and fight for those that continue to suffer the health effects of the clean up.

Twin Mountain had 2 moose accidents within 24h. Luckily neither resulted in any severe injuries to the drivers, but unfortunately both moose were killed.

Please drive with extra caution this autumn as moose activity increases and daylight decreases. These accidents often result in injury or worse to the drivers and we also hate to see our fragile moose population continue to decrease.

Watch the road edges and have a safe upcoming holiday weekend.

At approximately 09:50 this morning, TMFR was dispatched to the Cog Railway parking area for a patient with a serious medical event. Ambulance 1 and Car 1 responded to the scene at the paramedic level.

X1, Utility 1, and Carroll PD responded to the Bretton Woods Ski Area lower parking lot to establish an LZ for DHART.

The patient was transported to DHMC via DHART for further treatment.

This evening, members trained on vehicle extrication. These types of incidents can be quite technical at times, making both physical and mental training an essential task.

A big thank you to Lufkin's for providing us with the vehicle.

*Public Service Announcement*

The Carroll Department of Public Works will be working to repair a waterline rupture today, located at the intersection of Airport Rd and Rt 3 South. As a result, residential water services will be shut off between Foster's and Solar Spring Way.

Please use caution driving through the area while they work and for those affected by the water disruption, the DPW appreciates your patience.
