😈 Naughty: Mama Cat
Mama Cat firmly believes that sharing is overrated. Treats? Hers. Cozy perches? Hers. Staff attention? Also hers. 🐱👑 If one of her fellow residents is getting something she wants, Mama Cat is quick to insert herself into the situation. She also takes her job as Tiger Creek's unofficial supervisor very seriously. Whether staff are cleaning, typing, or carrying supplies, Mama Cat can usually be found looking over their shoulders. Sometimes quite literally! 👀

😇 Nice: Raja
Raja has been delighting guests with his love of pool time! On warm East Texas days, our big guy can often be found splashing, swimming, and showing off his impressive cannonball skills. 💦🐅 If Raja is in the water during your visit, don't be surprised if you end up in the splash zone. He's proof that even a tiger knows how to have fun and stay cool in the summer heat!

Every month, our rescued animals remind us why no two days at Tiger Creek are ever the same and we wouldn't have it any other way. ❤️

Tiger Creek Animal Sanctuary's favorite fall event is back, and we're officially accepting vendor applications for Prowl-O-Ween 2026 on Saturday, October 24th from 10:00 AM–2:00 PM!

This family-friendly Halloween celebration brings hundreds of guests to the sanctuary for a day of animals, costumes, games, treats, and fall fun. It's a fantastic opportunity to showcase your business, organization, products, or services while supporting a great cause.

Arula has found the perfect summer lounging spot! 🌿🐅

If you've ever visited Tiger Creek, you've probably noticed Arula stretched out in her favorite patch of grass. It's her go-to place for rolling around, relaxing, and carrying on long conversations with staff from the comfort of her soft, grassy bed. We can't always understand what she's saying, but she certainly has plenty to say! 💚

That lush grass does more than provide a comfy place for a tiger nap. Healthy ground cover plays an important role in animal care by helping regulate surface temperatures during the hot Texas summers. Grass stays significantly cooler than bare dirt or concrete, giving our residents a more comfortable place to rest while also helping reduce heat buildup throughout their habitats.

Maintaining healthy vegetation is just one of the many ways we work to create enriching, naturalistic environments for the animals who call Tiger Creek home. And if Arula's happy rolls are any indication, this spot gets her official approval! 🐾
