🎉 **Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month!** 🎉

Our elementary students celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month through hands-on activities, sensory experiences, music, and fun! Students rotated through stations where they made and tasted fresh salsa, guacamole, corn tortillas, and elote! 🌽🥑🍅

The celebration continued with music and dancing, trying on sombreros, and learning about Hispanic cultures and traditions. 🎶

It was a fun-filled day of learning, exploring, and celebrating Hispanic heritage and culture! ❤️

🎡 Boshears Wheelchair Dancers Take the Fair! 🎡

Our **Boshears Wheelchair Dancers** took their talents to the East Texas State Fair and put on an amazing performance!

We are so proud of our dancers for sharing their joy, talent, and love of performing with the East Texas community. They rolled onto the stage and showed everyone just how brightly our Boshears Bees can shine! 🐝💛🖤

🎡🐝 Step Right Up for Roundup Day! 🤠

Boshears had a rootin’ tootin’ good time celebrating East Texas State Fair Roundup Day! Our students enjoyed midway-style games, a fun “petting zoo,” and showing off their best western wear!

It was a day full of smiles, laughter, and fair-time fun! 🎟️🐝💛🖤

🧋 Buzzin’ Brews: More Than Just a Cup of Tea!
Students in the 18+ program, CONNECT, are putting their skills to work through our new student-run iced tea cart, Buzzin’ Brews! This hands-on business gives students the opportunity to practice meaningful communication, vocational skills, math, and independence while serving iced teas to staff around the Wayne D. Boshears Center.

This afternoon was all about learning, laughing, playing a few games, and getting to know each other a little better! 💛

Our Boshears team took time to connect, share ideas, learn from one another, and just have some fun together.

During this weeks staff meeting we celebrated September birthdays and the amazing work being done in our classrooms. This week we heard about Ms. Anita’s interactive lesson that included a trip to an “apple orchard” and how students in Ms. Jan’s class are working on phonics! Shout out to them and all the other teachers and paraprofessionals who pour into our students everyday!
