It is my distinct honor to earn the Democratic nomination to continue serving the people of Indiana’s First Congressional District. I am deeply grateful for the trust and support of voters across Northwest Indiana, and I also want to commend Lavetta Sparks-Wade for her spirited campaign, her willingness to step forward, and her meaningful participation in our democratic process.

Throughout my career as a public servant, I have focused on delivering real results for working families, seniors, veterans, and every community that calls Northwest Indiana home. I am running for re-election to build on the progress we have made together and to continue fighting for the hardworking people of this region.

Serving as Vice Chairman of the Congressional Steel Caucus and as a member of the House Appropriations Committee has given me the opportunity to work across party lines while listening closely to local leaders, employers, organized labor, veterans, and our agricultural community to ensure federal resources are invested where they can make the greatest difference.

At a time when families and seniors are facing rising costs, I remain focused on lowering energy bills, making groceries and everyday necessities more affordable, reducing health care expenses, and strengthening economic opportunities throughout Northwest Indiana.

We are living in a moment that demands principled, steady leadership. I will continue standing up for our constitutional values, protecting the right to vote, and opposing misguided policies that threaten working families and undermine democratic institutions.

I look forward to sharing my record of delivering for Northwest Indiana, defending organized labor, supporting public safety, strengthening our economy, and bringing back critical federal investments to create more jobs, more opportunity, and more prosperity for everyone.
