History was made today, as an investment made in the drive to reposition our education system, bears fruits.

MY STATEMENT

Protocols.

Today marks another significant milestone in the educational advancement of Ohaozara West Constituency and indeed Ebonyi State. It gives me immense pleasure to join the management of the National Teachers' Institute (NTI), our distinguished guests, parents, and the matriculating students as we celebrate the formal admission of a new batch of learners into this prestigious institution.
Education remains the greatest investment any society can make in its future. It is the foundation upon which sustainable development, responsible leadership, and economic prosperity are built. The establishment of the National Teachers' Institute Study Centre in Uburu is therefore more than the creation of a learning centre, it is the opening of new doors of opportunity for our people.

I am particularly fulfilled that I had the privilege of facilitating the establishment of this Study Centre in Uburu. Beyond attracting the institution to our community, I also sponsored the enrolment of forty-one (41) students, affirming my conviction that no willing individual should be denied access to education because of financial limitations.

The presence of the NTI Study Centre in Uburu will produce professionally trained teachers who will strengthen the quality of education in our schools. It will reduce the financial burden and inconvenience of travelling long distances for teacher training, create opportunities for career advancement, improve educational standards, generate economic activities within the host community, and contribute meaningfully to the development of human capital in Ohaozara West and beyond.

To the matriculating students, I congratulate you on attaining this important milestone. Your admission into the National Teachers' Institute is not only a personal achievement but also a call to prepare yourselves for the noble responsibility of shaping future generations. I encourage you to remain focused, disciplined, and committed to academic excellence throughout your studies.

As your representative in the Ebonyi State House of Assembly, I remain steadfast in my commitment to promoting policies and initiatives that expand access to quality education, empower our youths, and advance the socio-economic development of our constituency.

Finally, I wish to express my profound appreciation to the Executive Governor of Ebonyi State, His Excellency Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, whose visionary leadership under the People's Charter of Needs has continued to prioritise education and human capital development across our dear State.

I equally acknowledge the invaluable leadership and mentorship of the Honourable Minister of Works, His Excellency Sen. Engr. David Nweze Umahi, CON, whose enduring commitment to the development of Ebonyi State continues to inspire many of us in public service.
My sincere appreciation also goes to the Uburu Traditional Rulers Council, under the distinguished leadership of His Royal Highness, Eze Lazarus Umahi, PhD, for their support for educational and community development initiatives.

I commend the Ebonyi State Coordinator of the National Teachers' Institute, Mr. Ugwu Nicolas Okey, for his dedication and commitment to expanding access to teacher education in our State, and I appreciate the management and staff of the Institute for making this Study Centre a reality.
Congratulations once again to all the matriculating students. I wish you a rewarding academic journey and every success in your pursuit of excellence.
Thank you and God bless you all.

Let us have an honest and objective conversation.

What exactly is the constitutional work of a legislator, and in what specific area has Hon. Onu Ukpai failed you?

Let us deal with facts, not emotions or propaganda.

If it is empowerment, records are there.
If it is investment in education, the evidence is visible.
If it is infrastructure and community support, projects can be identified.
If it is constituency engagement and stakeholder collaboration, he has remained accessible and involved.
If it is representation and contributions on the floor of the House, he has consistently spoken for the people.

No leader is above criticism, but criticism must be factual, fair, and constructive.

So, let us talk. Present your concerns, observations, or expectations with specifics.

As part of constituency engagement ahead of the re-election of Hon. Onu Ukpai, I will be available to respond to questions and engage citizens objectively.

Development grows where truth and accountability guide public conversations.
