A playground shouldn't only get used one week a year. 🌳

In Reynolds, this fairground sits right in the middle of town, making it the perfect place for something the entire community can enjoy.

After years of using an older playground relocated from a school, it was time for an upgrade.

Now, kids have a safe place to play, parents have somewhere to sit and watch, and the community has a space to enjoy long after fair week ends.

That's what a great playground project should deliver. Value that lasts beyond opening day.

Not every child can access a traditional playground.

And that's exactly why inclusive playground design matters. 🛝

At this school, younger students and children with disabilities needed a play space that worked for them.

The goal wasn't simply to install new equipment. It was to create an accessible environment where more students could participate, build confidence, and enjoy being outdoors.

And by opening the space to the wider community outside school hours, the benefits extend well beyond the classroom.

For some people, a playground is more than a place to play. 💙

It's a space where they can move, explore, take a breather, and feel comfortable.

For individuals with autism who benefit from sensory experiences, features like rocking, spinning, tactile activities, and sound can provide meaningful ways to engage with their surroundings.

Having a space like this right outside means they have the freedom to access it when they need it.

Because a great playground isn't just about equipment. It's about the people who use it.

A playground can challenge more than just a kid’s body. 🧠

These math and spelling panels were designed to give younger kids another way to learn while they play.

Basic math. Spelling. Problem-solving. And most importantly, the chance to challenge themselves without it feeling like school.

Because sometimes the best learning happens when kids don’t even realize they’re learning.

👇 Planning a playground for younger kids? Let’s build more into the way they play.

Your playground shouldn’t look like it was dropped into the space. 🌲

For this church playground, the goal was to keep everything feeling natural and connected to the surrounding forest.

The sandstone plastics and neutral tones helped the equipment blend into the landscape instead of fighting against it.

Color might be one of the last decisions you make, but it can completely change how the finished playground feels.

👇 Planning a playground? Let’s find a color scheme that actually fits your space.

Limited playground space? You don’t have to sacrifice play value.

A freestanding climber can give older kids a real challenge without taking over the entire playground.

The trade-off? Net climbers take a beating over the years, so annual inspections and long-term maintenance matter.

Great equipment isn’t just about what works on day one. It’s about knowing what you’re signing up for over the next 10 years.

This church found their playground project manager inside their own congregation. 👀

Sometimes the right person is already in your community.

A playground brief should start with the people who will use it.

At Coastal Autism Academy in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, the project brings together swings, climbers, a themed play structure and outdoor musical instruments.

Different activities give children different ways to spend their time outdoors.
