As families return to following the devastating civil conflict there, they face a lack of healthcare services. With support from the Syrian Humanitarian Fund, we’re supporting the health needs of children and families in Aleppo, Al-Hasakah, Idlib, Raqqa and rural Damascus. Our staff is providing child and newborn healthcare, programs to protect children, women and girls from conflict-related violence.
Throughout the country, we provide primary and secondary health, nutrition, protection and mental health services, as well as water, sanitation and hygiene support, through both fixed facilities and mobile medical teams.

UPDATE: Conditions in remain dire for communities affected by the regional conflict. Over 1 million people have been forced from their homes, and some 125,000 are living in temporary displacement sites across the country. We continue to deliver lifesaving emergency medical relief to displaced families, working closely with government and humanitarian partners in Lebanon.

Our team in the Philippines is responding to the eruption on May 2, which triggered heavy ashfall and forced evacuations within a 6 km radius. Currently, more than 5,000 people are living in shelters, and more than 100,000 have been affected.
International Medical Corps is supporting health facilities in Guinobatan and Camalig—the hardest-hit areas—with protective gear, equipment, essential supplies and medicines to treat respiratory illnesses caused by ash exposure.
