😎Yep, accessible cycling in Hadley is continuing! We're talking all ability riding all summer long!! Recumbents trikes, handcycles, tandems and wheelchair tandems-we've got it all so you can explore the beautiful Norwottuck Rail Trail!!!
Instruction, equipment, and assistance (as needed) will are provided by our partner All Out Adventures who runs this program for us. People with disabilities, their families, support staff, friends and seniors are invited to join.
Pre-registration is required. Online registration ends at 5 p.m., two days before the program. After that time, call (413) 584 2052 to see if space is still available. You will receive email confirmation for participation

We ♥ Cheshire Cycling!! Lakes. Mountains. Forests. And the Ashuwillticook Rail Trail...What's not to love?! Oh and did we mention the incredible views?? This takes peddle power to a whole new level! Game on!!!
But this is our last cycling adventure in the Berkshires for the season (heavy sigh). So if you want to step it up, join UAP at a different location in Western Mass. How about Hadley?? Our partner, All Out Adventures, runs accessible cycling programs for us on the Norwottuck Rail Trail almost every Friday from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. all summer long!!
Cost is $5-$20 sliding scale per session. And there is on-street parking available 😬

Now this is waterside bliss!! ☺️And you can join us because UAP offers free adaptive rowing on the Connecticut River every Thursday in Holyoke! We are talking free rowing opportunities all summer long!!! 🚣🏾♀️
This all-ability program is run by our partner, Holyoke Rows. They'll set you up with specialized equipment, modifications, instruction and staff support as needed. Families, support staff and friends are invited to join as well!
But everyone has to preregister-this is by appointment only...

Yesterday may have been a wet Worcester Wednesday, but it was also an incredible all-weather, all-ability adaptive cycling adventure!! Big time thank you to our intrepid partner, All Out Adventures, who ran this program for us, threw rain gear on everything (including the cycles) and made the magic happen!!
This was our last Spring 2026 cycling program at Blackstone River Greenway in Worcester, but we still have May cycling opportunities (run by AOA) in Hadley and Cheshire! Then we switch to our Summer 2026 Adaptive Program Schedule which will be published next weekish!!

🏌🏾♀️2026 Adaptive Golf is in full swing!! Friday marked MPGA Massachusetts Para-Golfers Association's 8th Adaptive Opening Day at Ponkapoag Golf Course and 18 people played on two courses for 4+ hours of golf adrenaline!
All of UAP's adaptive golf carts were in use-including 6 brand new, state of the art, ParaMotion carts which were just added to our adaptive golf cart collection! This season, all six ParaMotion carts, as well as our SoloRider, will be available to rent at Ponkapoag in Canton (while the greens at Leo J Martin Memorial Golf Course and Driving Range in Weston are closed due to course improvements).
You will need to be trained before you can use one of these carts on the course, so reach out to Ponkapoag Golf Course at 781-828-4242 to schedule your training.

🌷Enjoy springtime at Maudslay State Park on a power-driven mobility device!
Starting May 10, visitors can borrow an Action Trackchair or a Mobility Scooter free of charge.
Amble through the decorative landscape and gardens of this former 19th century estate. Enjoy the beauty of plantings, rolling meadows, and towering pines. Experience the seasonal changes of this unique park and feast your eyes on Maudslay in bloom!
Reservations & Eligibility:
Reservations are required, at least 3 days prior to your visit.
You’ll need to review the safety and operating instructions for the Mobility Scooter or the Trackchair before you can make a reservation.
You’ll need to bring someone with you, 18 years of age or older, to be your companion.
Complete a Use and Release Form at the park/forest on the day of your visit. Users under age 18 or under guardianship must have the Use and Release Form signed by their legal guardian.

🫵Community input wanted!! Sudbury Valley Trustees (SVT) is creating a Nature Play Area at Wolbach Farm in Sudbury, and they want your feedback on how to make it welcoming and accessible for children of all abilities!
The Nature Play Area will provide a safe, free, and inviting space for children and caretakers of all abilities to enjoy nature together.
To ensure the play area meets the greatest needs, SVT is seeking input from the community about its design.
Whether you’re a parent, a caregiver, an educator, or simply someone who cares about connecting kids of all abilities with the outdoors, we want to hear your ideas!

🤽🏾Looking for adaptive swimming options this summer? UAP offers a free recreational swimming program on Friday mornings from July 11-August 15 in Worcester! This all-ability pool program is for participants ages 5+ and their families! And spots are still available!!
🏊🏿Our swimming program, run by our partner Easterseals Massachusetts, is located at fully-accessible Bennett Field Pool. Sessions are led by an aquatics instructor and lifeguard, and you can participate in safety activities and water games!
