INCAC supports local communities by promoting and assisting the growth and continuation of Child Advo

We strive to provide support to communities across Idaho, by fostering the growth and development of Children’s Advocacy Centers. We accomplish this mission by raising awareness for child abuse, serving as a liaison with state agencies, and soliciting funding for the continued longevity of these important centers.

Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Child Abuse Prevention Month. Strengthening Families Month.

All three are commemorated in April — and for good reason. The issues are so often connected, and so is the work.

Ada County Prosecutor Jan Bennetts, Chief Deputy Holly Koole-Rebholtz, and the Ada County Victim Services Center were honored to join Governor Brad Little Little this month for the Strengthening Families Month proclamation — a reminder that protecting families and communities takes partnership at every level.

As April comes to a close, our commitment to victims carries on — 365 days a year.

As we close out Child Abuse Prevention month, Sheriff Clifford, Chief Deputy Dusseau and Chief Deputy Hessing stood alongside our victim witness coordinators and detectives who work year around helping support children during their hardest moments.

Their compassion makes a lasting difference in the lives of children and families in our community!

We are excited to kick off April awareness activities, and are so grateful for Mayor Jacobs, Garden City and Ada County Victims Service Center for the proclamations.

Thank you, Mayor Jacobs, for helping kick off April’s Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Awareness Month.

It means a lot to see our community come together to raise awareness, strengthen prevention efforts, promote safety, and support survivors. Together, we continue building a community that is informed, compassionate, and committed to protecting one another.

It’s been a privilege to be in Washington DC for NCA Leadership Conference, and to get to visit the offices of our state legislators. We were also proud to support Ashley Stallings as she represented rural CACs on a panel session.
